This Rickert was raced by the great "Jerry Ash 1971/72/73. Jerry was often referred to as "The Gentle Giant". He was an amazing sprinter and had thighs like no other sprinter of the day! This bike was found by me recently in Encino California after sitting in a garage for 44 yrs. The owner of the bike used to race against Jerry at Encino Velodrome and purchased it from him personally. I have added a photo of Jerry on his Confente. When I got the frame home I noticed a business card rolled up in the b/b. I pulled it out and it is an original card from the Village Shop of the legendary Jack and Bob Kemp. I also have an Andre Bertin from this shop that I've owned over 35 yrs. Preservation and build up coming soon..

Very nice find! My Rickert rufa had a lot of the same elements and was the same colour as well!

I have a Rufa-Sport as well but it is blue. Not sure if it's original paint though. I have all the decals for when I repaint it the color I want.
