1987 Nishiki Modulus

Probably the best paint Nishiki's ever done. 1987 is the last year Nishiki's frames were made in Japan by Kawamura before they outsourced to Giant's factories in Taiwan. With upgraded brakes, fenders, a rack, and clipless pedals, this is now my primary commuter.

Frame:
54cm lugged Tange 900 (double-butted chromoly steel)

Fork/Headset:
chromoly steel/Hatta Vesta

Crankset/Bottom Bracket:
Shimano Exage Sport 172.5mm

Pedals:
Shimano 600 quill

Drivetrain/Cog/Chainring/Chain:
6-speed/52-42 Biopace

Derailleurs/Shifters:
Shimano Exage Sport 6-speed downtube friction

Handlebars/Stem:
Nitto B-176 42cm/Nitto Dynamic 80mm quill (not pictured)

Saddle/Seatpost:
unknown/Selle Italia Turbo reissue (pictured)-Fizik Arione (current)

Brakes:
Shimano Exage Sport (pictured)-SRAM Rival (current)

Front Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Araya 700c/Sansin/Specialized Turbo 23c (pictured)-Continental Ultra Gatorskin 23c (currrent)

Rear Wheel/Hub/Tire:
