1987 Schwinn Cimarron

My poor man's Rivendell, work in progress because I'm always changing my mind on how i want this bike to end up. (it could be for bikepacking, touring, cruising, commuting, looking pretty, etc.) Every bike has a story, and this already has a great one. I bought it used from a local radio show host, took it on a group ride and got stoned the same day. Constantly making small changes, replaced the fork because i bent the original. I won these MKS pedals from @ATWBuilds on Instagram which is awesome. Going for the poor man's Rivendell style which is good because this is slow. It kinda handles funny, not sure what to do about that. This is far from the initial stage, but I'll try to find some pictures from the original bike.

Current Stage Info:

I wanted to get this bike to a point I was very happy with aesthetically before selling it. I've had many dreams for this bike, but eventually decided it's a size smaller than I'd like. I absolutely love staring at this thing and I think I have achieved the "poor man's Rivendell" look, to some extent. It unfortunately doesn't handle great because this fork doesn't have the correct rake for this frame. I am very happy with the drivetrain, the derailleur could use a new B-tension spring but it works just fine shifting eight speeds despite being a 6-speed derailleur. The new 3x setup is wonderful, shifts better than any front derailleur out there, and is way better suited to this bike than 1x.
