Have this same Trek 1996 Carbon OCLV. Bought it early 2007 for a little discount and wondered if I overspent.
23 years ago, I have it and no matter how many miles spent on it over the years felt it was always the superior "machine" to the human on it.
It is an all-time classic and never is out of style. The only change I've made is the seat.
Think it will bury me before it's days are over.
Sometimes I start thinking about upgrades and such but haven't gotten around to doing anything even changing the rim and tires.
Miles to go before I sleep. This is an American Classic and piece of history.
Congrats on your rebuild!
