Are you still using the nitto b267 bars? Those things look dope!

1 inch threadless is sort of a pet peeve of mine, but I can look past that for a bike this nice.

I'm kind of a big rack fan ;D. This bike keeps getting better and better!

Digging the new fork and crank set! Saw this on Bikejerks a while ago.

Hey thanks man, yeah the fork and crankset were definitely necessary upgrades, haha. I resubmitted it, hoping for a reevaluation soon!

Also, how do you like those rims? I saw a set on eBay and would like to build them and replace my TB14 set with them.

Never had better rims. Super light, really strong. And if you're going tubeless it's a no-brainer.

IRD defiants would look so excellent on this build.

Around $140 retail! I'm sure you could easily score a good deal on them somewhere though.

You should know- I just bought a set of IRD Defiants. They're about to go on this bike ;)

your 'ripper' stage is so damn fun looking. all very solid parts w/o the hype & can tell you just enjoy hopping on this thing to mash through your day. exactly what cycling should be all about.
wondering why you've gone through so many cranksets on this build though; Dura Ace, 75's, & now settled on IRD's? they do seem the most appropriate for some reason, just seems odd to be saying that. would like to hear why all the swaps & your feedback

You just made my day! Truth be told I haven't been riding it enough. It gets its time in the road, but a lot of my riding is on the LOW now.
Honestly, i cannot feel a difference between these and the sugino s or dura ace cranks. Maybe it's cause i haven't raced on these and i'm just commuting. I settled on these because they're not japanese and they have an italian inspiration. I wanted this bike to be as euro/american as possible. pedals are tricky without breaking the bank.. I might throw suginos back on, maybe even omniums since i'm just commuting

love the new rim choice, def wanna try out stans no tubes at some point...

how do you like that crankset?
Posted almost 12 years ago
It's nice, but it's no 75. Get the sugino messenger if you're in the market.
Posted almost 12 years ago
does the messenger not come in 46? If all else fails, get a messenger crankset and a dura ace chainring.
Posted almost 12 years ago
Can't use the messenger crankset with DA chainrings. Different BCDs
