Gotcha. I was almost to that point but I thankfully found the original.

BOOM! nice pista! btw i thought pista concept's fork is same as kageros or low//; alpina, so you can get alpina, though it doesn't have bianchi decals. just saying :)

This is the bike I dreamed of. Nothing catches the eye like celeste. Would've done as much Campy as I could've had I been able to afford it. Congrats on a fine job.

Thank you. Like I said above, it's an ongoing project and it's far from done. Campy would be nice, but more for aesthetic reasons. Definitely feel like Sugino 75 cranks are a better fit on an aluminum frame, for example.

... favourite pista concept! ... those recons rock ... you must own knees of steel to ride that gear in the streets...

I guess you can say I do. And thank you! What sucks is that I'm only left with my rear wheel after a recent accident. I want the front back!

It's starting to look a lot better. I'm sure the feel of it is getting a lot better too. I'd say saddle and seat post upgrades next!

thats a really good condition 2006 frame great buy!

Thanks man! I count on my fingers how many nicks it has, which is only a few. I'd say that's pretty good for 2006 frame. Nice Super Pista!

I can never get over how awesome the Bianchi colors are. And I love Reynold recons! I wouldn't mind having some.
Posted about 12 years ago
I just got them a few days ago, and they're awesome. Very smooth and light. Did you buy your wheels already converted or did you have it done? You could have just gone with some SDV66's and your wheelset would have been a tad lighter!

Personally, my Reynolds with philwoods feel lighter than the SVD66s. I got them done by a friend of mine. But the SVD66s are pretty cool looking. I was looking for Reynold recons for just a commuter wheelset, but I ended up with some Zipps instead. I'm not to upset about that seeing as Zipps are probably the best rims on the market....
Posted about 12 years ago
This is true, but I'd say those are bit overkill if you were looking for a commuting wheelset.
Posted about 12 years ago
true, but seeing as i got them for 300, I'm not to worried about them. and if I get hit, I have back up wheels that are much more practical...
Posted about 12 years ago
Wow, that's a steal man. I'd still take real good care of them though.

good looking bike...

Thanks man! Your Ld Labs is lookin' good too. Nice to see people with other aluminum frames besides MASH and Kageros. How do you like the frame and the Planet X?
Posted over 12 years ago
your welcome ;)
i would say kagero is more stiffer than ldlabs but in terms of cadence responsiveness i would say ldlabs is better. planet x is great on a normal basis and track use but not on going uphill...

i feel like i have to double up my effort when climbing compare with my old rim fulcrum racing 7 cx...
Posted over 12 years ago
Try adding some gears and derailleurs. It makes climbing easier. If you don't get it, remember Pista means track. The bike wasn't meant to be ridden on the road or hills that aren't wood and banked!
Posted about 12 years ago
Jimbo does have a point, but never add gears and derailleurs to a track bike! I'd just get a road bike instead.
Posted about 12 years ago
fixed gear bike are meant to be fixed gear bike regardless on the road or track. climbing up hill using fixed gear is the best feeling when reaching the top although it is difficult. i like road bike too but my love is still fixed gear bike.

Nice build! Yeah, once you track down that original fork, bomb! Something about these frames require a straight blade to me

Looks good! It's going to look even better with the super pista fork. I almost bought a 06 concept awhile back but i got outbid.
Posted over 12 years ago
Thanks! That's a bummer man. It's a really awesome bike. So you're also saying I should just go with the Super Pista fork too? It's a legit alternative, but I'm hoping to keep it original.
Posted over 12 years ago
I think that's your best bet. Finding the original fork will surely take you a while and who knows what condition it might be in. They really don't look that different from each other anyway.

I actually found one for sale in SD, and it's from a 2004 Concept, but it's missing the decals. That something I actually want intact. But like PandaBear said below, they do often appear here and there on most marketplaces, so I'm pretty confident. I checked out the Super Pista fork on Bianchi's site and the decals are a little different from yours.

the pista concept is looking good. can't wait to see the future upgrades!

Thanks brotha. I'm being patient with this one. Really want to make sure I get everything right the first time around.

Looks real good!... Check ebay for the original bianchi fork or you can just get a super pista fork which is basically the same and they sell it on bianchi.com
Posted over 12 years ago
Thanks! I check ebay pretty often actually and I'd totally go with the Super Pista fork, but I want the original. I might consider it though. I actually found one in San Diego but it's missing the decals, so I'm not too sure about it.

They had the original pista concept fork for sale on ebay about two weeks ago for $70 bucks which is cheap. Keep looking you might get lucky on craigslist, ebay, or a local bike shop.
Posted over 12 years ago
Damn that's a good deal. I hope I can find one soon for that cheap for sure.
