2006 Bianchi Pista GG

I've wanted a Bianchi Pista for a few years and I recently stumbled on this frame. I built the whole bike from this frame up, which was fun choosing the components. The hardest to find was the Kilo fork. Even harder was finding an original Pista fork in the same color.

Frame:
06 Bianchi Pista, 51cm, Gang Green. It's darker than Celeste, not as bright.

Fork/Headset:
Mercier Kilo TT, 28mm offset, 1" threadless steerer. Black. FSA Orbit X headset.

Crankset/Bottom Bracket:
Sugino RD2 crankset, older series, 165mm forged aluminum arms. Sugino CBB-103 BB NOS.

Pedals:
None

Drivetrain/Cog/Chainring/Chain:
Sugino 48t chainring 1/8". All City 17t cog & LR, 1/8". Dicta 16t freewheel. KMC Z 1/8" chain.

Derailleurs/Shifters:
None.

Handlebars/Stem:
Cinelli Critterium model 65-40 (40cm wide) track bars w vintage logo. Bianchi polished 90mm stem.

Saddle/Seatpost:
Saddle by Selle Italia, titanium rails. Campy Nuovo Record fluted seatpost.

Brakes:
Campy Chorus Skeleton rear modified to fit front. Flip pads to correct direction of rotation. Pauls Engineering E-lever short pull brake lever.

Front Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Mavic Aksium 20h bladed. Black. Mavic hub. Vittoria Rubino 700x28c for the street.

Rear Wheel/Hub/Tire:
New Velocity Deep V black 32h, Origin 8 hub. Vittoria Rubino 700x28c for the street.

Accessories:
Surly Tuggnut chain tensioner

More Info:
Sadly, this bike is for sale. $650. Frame alone is worth $400. Weighs 19.6 lbs with pedals. Serial #: H6B16581

must say the kilo tt fork with the bianchi is an interesting choice, makes it stand out in the overly large crowd of bianchis

Thanks! Glad you like it. First, the frame had no fork. Then, I decided I didn't like the style of the stock uni-crown fork. So I looked for a good replacement fork with a 28mm offset and a flat crown. A Kilo TT was the only one that fit that description. The only feature I don't like is the fender eyelets.

yeah those eyelets would look a little funny, especially since the seat stay doesn't have any. Have you thought about hack sawing them off

Yes, I'll hacksaw them off soon. Will need to patch it with paint. Lucky it's black - easier to match than the green.

Thanks! Yeah I lucked out on the color and the size. I like that this green is a shade darker than the usual Celeste.
