Benson

Benson says:

Hey noticed this frame is just as heavy as the newest RHP? I held the Macaframa a recently and the tubing isnt as massive and minus gussets its still heavy as fuckkkk

Posted almost 13 years ago

TRACKER

TRACKER says:

I noticed that too with my 2010 one. Also it has a carbon steel fork and not a carbon alloy :O I could probably drop a pound if I just swaped forks. Im still confused why this one is lighter.

Posted almost 13 years ago

Benson

Benson says:

Cause this model is the best one!!
Man I wish mine was 16 pounds. Mine is about 19 with my 36h wheels

Posted almost 13 years ago

TRACKER

TRACKER says:

Hmmm I wonder how much the new wheelset will weigh? Do you have any toe over lap with yours? Mine doesn't have any, well just a tiny bit but I've never touched it. Even with a 46.5 shoe!

Benson

Benson says:

Those H+son rims are pretty heavy but still will be lighter than mine!
I have a little overlap nothing major but I never noticed.

Posted almost 13 years ago

TRACKER

They're just over a pound each. They have an almost wood grain texture to them, you can kinda tell in the picture. It's really nice though.

An we're almost gonna be twins when I get the other wheel set in but it'll be black. I use an xacto knife to get the dirt in the welds out and the gussets but I hate doing it knowing I could scratch it.

The Reynolds for the mavics to phils? I think i have a buyer for them... Well its more of a trade since the guys works at a shop and he said I could order anything from the shop that is equal to the price (his price) of the Reynolds. So...

We got the same frame, saddle, stem, cranks, tires lol Yeah I just forget about it, a nice wipe down time to time will do other than that I just dont care. As of wheel trade I doubt Ill even go through with it unless it was a local swap lol

Posted almost 13 years ago

TRACKER

TRACKER says:

I really want to try out sram, I have ridden 105/ultegra setup and I just didn't like it to much. So I hope i like sram better... I mean I REALLY REALLY want campy stuff but dam its $$. Im also pretty sure im going to get a pair of ksyrium elites for wheels and probaly fsa or deda cockpit. Not sure on saddle though.

Posted almost 13 years ago

Benson

Benson says:

I like SRAM alot and loved the double tap. When I got Shimano last minute I had to get used to the STI shifting -__-
+1 Mavic Ksyriums awesome wheels.
Campy is $$$$$ eventually Id get but my friend has alot of issues cause if things break or need replace it needs to be campy or it wont work like the cables and such

Posted almost 13 years ago

TRACKER

TRACKER says:

I need to test ride a sram group set. I'm trying to get it done before summer so I can ride it though the whole summer and not waste any time haha. I should probably get a frame before a group but since I can (probably) be safe with getting an English threaded bb and a braze on fd I don't see why not. That's onlys if I can get it though the guy though.

Posted almost 13 years ago

Benson

Benson says:

deff try it out before buying. STI to sram double tap is really something to get used to. I personally really liked sram so future Ill get into it.

Posted almost 13 years ago

TRACKER

TRACKER says:

Out of all the road bikes I've ridden (mostly low end) the one I liked the most was a 70ish bianchi with full campy parts. I the first time I rode it when I shifted I was like wtf it dosent work then I look back and it did work it was just so smooth. It was only a 5 speed and i can't remember if it was a double or triple. I think double? Well I'm pretty sure my brother has it now but not sure.

Posted almost 13 years ago

Benson

Benson says:

Campy is real nice I love how it snaps into the gears and how loud the hub is when you cost. Only thing like I said about campy is you need t service often and replacement parts are $$$

Posted almost 13 years ago

Yeah we should stop talking about campy before I force myself to buy a chorus group.
