What'll be next?

Been looking at the colossi low pro, leader renovatio, or bianchi super pista.
Posted about 9 years ago
oh SHIT the leader is OUT carbons wheelset is OUT what is gonna be comin' in?
Posted about 9 years ago
Something a little nicer. I honestly rarely used the carbon wheels on the street after I got a flat and I don't have enough free time to get certified on the track. I'm leaning towards the super pista in black.

NO dont get super pista. get a renovatio or parallax or something. Super pistas ride like my ass after a good fucking.

Seriously? I really liked my old concept but it was a size too big so I figured the super pista was the next best thing. I'll be shopping around a bit though. I'd be stoked on an 09' mash or old kagero too

Clean build bro! How do you like that front 88?Contemplating on picking one up. I'm running a 60 in the front cause I didn't want to be a sailboat on windy days haha
Posted almost 10 years ago
That's literally what it feels like lol. I've ridden with both carbon on the street and hated it for that very reason. I've ridden with just the front and you can still feel it. It's not really aerodynamic at that point it's just a lighter rim. I'd say stick with the 60 unless you're gonna be riding on track. Other than that it's all aesthetics on the street lol.

This is a beast looking 735 man, makes me miss mine.
Posted almost 10 years ago
Thanks man. I actually took a lot of inspiration from your old 735. I was definitely a fan of it.

Sick built man.. I'm thinking about picking up some of those chinese carbon wheels and lacing them to dura ace.
Posted about 10 years ago
Thanks bro. I'm really happy with them and they're good for the price. They'd be sick laced to a much nicer hub. I'd say go for it. Just be careful on windy days lol

How durable are those chinese carbon clinchers?
Posted about 10 years ago
Holding up very well. I actually went back to using my origin8 wheel on the rear just because I wasn't too comfortable skidding on carbon all the time. Spokes are still true. Just a few dings on it from throwing it around and locking up the bike.

nice build as always but how can you ride 56 one month and 51 the next ? :-S
Posted about 10 years ago
It's leaders geometry. Their 51cm fits like a 55cm since the top tube is long. I can pretty much fit anything between 54-56 top tube. Just have to change up stem length and saddle height.
Posted about 10 years ago
Seems like your frames get smaller and smaller? Lol. Nice build though of course.
Posted about 10 years ago
Haha yeah I keep bouncing between my 90mm and 100mm stem. Finding that balance of top tube length and stand over height.

looks hella massan. Nice! Hope you enjoy it!
Posted about 10 years ago
Thanks dude. Massan was definitely an inspiration as well as emi's old build. My favorite riders for sure.

How's the change from the Pista Concept to the 735?
Posted about 10 years ago
I honestly haven't ridden it long enough to tell. It felt pretty good yesterday. Its definitely an interesting geometry with the longer top tube and shorter stand over. I've never ridden carbon wheels especially this deep and that was noticeably difficult in the wind.
Posted about 10 years ago
Looks good though, reminds me of Massan in his Mash days. Happy riding

I dig it! how are you liking those Wheels?
Posted about 10 years ago
They roll smoothly and feel lighter than my origin8 wheels but they're a bitch in the wind. I was getting blown around today. Not fun at all.
