Awesome '10 m8. How did you get rid of the american classic wheels' stickers?
Posted over 10 years ago
I bought them from a teammate. He had them stripped and anodized. Don't really know much else apart from that.

Saw you're getting rid of the CAAD that broke the internet?
Posted over 10 years ago
I think I'm going to keep the frameset. Too much sentimental value. Might build it up again as a crit bike too.
Posted over 10 years ago
How tall are you out of curiosity?
Posted over 10 years ago
The smaller frame size reduces wind resistence which is perfect for racing.

nice wheels i run tubulars on my campy record and they feel smooth
Posted about 11 years ago
WHERE DA GUMWALLS AT?
Posted about 11 years ago
The Vittoria tubulars are like 3x the cost of the Sprinters and don't last as long :/
Posted about 11 years ago
The veloflex seem just as expensive :/ got the Contis for <$50 a pop haha. Maybe next season!

Hey, how did those Stronglight CT2 chainrings hold up? I've got a set on my System Six so any info would be great.
Posted about 11 years ago
They shift amazingly well and are quite stiff. Just upgraded to the CT2 TT rings. They are stiffer and still shift just as smooth as before.

Do you experience toe overlap with such a small frame? Do your toes hit the tires on slow sharp turns?
Posted over 11 years ago
No toe overlap whatsoever. But then again, why would you go slow on a sharp turn ;)
Posted over 11 years ago
Circling around to go back to the wife. Duh! ;) BTW sweet bike. I just picked up a CAAD10 frame. Waiting for my new BB30 bearings to ride it! Snail mail is killing me.

Are you going to race Costa Mesa next weekend? (6/9)
Posted over 11 years ago
Boo! Hey, what kind of wheels are those? They don't look like American Classic 420's
Posted over 11 years ago
Nice job winning Ontario today :)
Posted over 11 years ago
I raced 4/5 but i had to drop out because my rear derailer was "ghost shifiting" then my brakes were rubbing, and I just got fed up with my bike messing up. But I'll be there next time :)
Posted over 11 years ago
Hey i thought i recognized the bike in the race! were you in the break with me or was that another guy on a caad?
Posted over 11 years ago
Haha my teammate was in the break. He was riding a caad as well. Cool to see some fellow racers on here!
Posted over 11 years ago
Ahh yes, thought the jersey was similar. SO MANY CAADS! OMG! Congrats on the win. Will be in long beach on monday, maybe see you there!
Posted over 11 years ago
slammed bar, i want to do that but im not sure my shoulders/back can handle that.
Posted over 11 years ago
GOD DAMN! This is officially my FAVORITE bike out everything I have ever seen on Pedalroom! Awesome job man! Keep up the racing.
Posted over 11 years ago
You don't live near Kansas City, MO do you? Because I want to build this same setup so bad!
Posted over 11 years ago
You need to start like a fansite for this thing, lol!
Posted almost 12 years ago
Hahaha. The chain catcher has saved me so many times. I love SRAM, but their fd's aren't too reliable. Might upgrade to the new Red fd in the near future.
Posted almost 12 years ago
How do you like those brakes? I'm thinking about grabbing some for my CAAD 8.
Posted almost 12 years ago
They're awesome. They hover around 200g, which is lighter than even Sram Red brakes, but they still have the stopping power unlike KCNC brakes.
Posted almost 12 years ago
What kind of headset are you specifically using?
Posted about 12 years ago
Ah, just swapped the dust cap I guess? Just picked up the same frameset, and am building it up pretty similar.
Looks great.
Posted about 12 years ago
Your CAAD10 is so great, I love looking at this thing. Besides being an exacting tool, it's also a well-executed object of beauty. Thanks for sharing!
Posted about 12 years ago
shit! i didn't know it was possible for a caad10 to look this good!!!
Posted about 12 years ago
How much mileage do you get out of those tires? Flats?
Posted about 12 years ago
I just slashed my front yesterday, but the other still has plenty of life. I think it's at 800 right now, so I'd estimate 2k miles.
Posted about 12 years ago
Another question. How do you like the Rival I plan on buying a group soon. Any complaints?
Posted about 12 years ago
Rival is great, probably the best budget groupset. I'm planning on upgrading soon, but it definitely does the job well.
Posted about 12 years ago
how are those wheels?
Posted over 12 years ago
I've had a pretty bad experience with the company, but they're pretty stiff and light wheels. Velocity a23 rims laced to circus monkey hubs.
Posted over 12 years ago
Dammn looks so good!
at 50cm do you have a short torso or what?
Posted over 12 years ago
With those top tube length, set back seatpost and long stem, I bet your you have a looong torso
Posted over 12 years ago
I'm in the same boat, though it seems I'm a little taller than you. Throw in a bad back for good measure.
Posted about 12 years ago
best caad 10 i've seen. so bad ass. especially those gumwalls.
Posted over 12 years ago
Thanks. I just put the new tires on today. Can't wait to see how they ride.
Posted over 12 years ago
Should've taken the pic on a level-surface; the sloping TT completely threw me off!
What's gonna happen to the Roubaix?
Posted over 12 years ago
Yeah, I might take another shot after the weekend. I'm probably going to build up the Roubaix and sell it.
