2012 Raleigh Rush Hour Pro

Just finished building this up! Still playing around with the fit. I didn't really like the stock paint/graphics on this frame. I felt they were too busy and that they took away from the frame itself, so I repainted it!

Handlebars/Stem:

Saddle/Seatpost:
Fizik Arione/Thomson Elite

look like leader 725 seafoam green. how's the geometry between the raleigh and 725?

It is definitely tighter on the Raleigh, and build quality is better also. Cheers!

How did you repaint this frame and how much did it cost you? Done professionally? I kinda want to do the same to mine (I have the exact same frame as you, it looks like)

Posted over 11 years ago

pedal-faster

pedal-faster says:

I sandblasted the frame and then primed and painted, sanding very lightly in between. I did it all myself. Cheers!

Posted almost 13 years ago

TRACKER

TRACKER says:

The maca frames seems to use half the tubing from the 2010 frames and half the tubing from the 2008 frames. Seems like they had tubes leftover and combined the 2 older frames to make the macaframa frame.

It's a pretty nice build. I must say, I've never really tried Cadence bar tape, but I would suggest you try Lizard Skins instead. Very comfortable.

True. I got mine on brand new with help but i recently got a flat and I couldn't get the rando back on and neither could the bike shop, so i bought a new tire haha. i was just wondering if anyone else ran into this problem...

Painted it Celeste green? Are you gonna throw on Raleigh Decals on it?

Posted almost 13 years ago

pedal-faster

pedal-faster says:

Yes, I had some Raleigh decals made for it. I'm picking those up tomorrow. As far as the color, it's a Montana color called Malachite I believe. It does look very close to celeste. I have always wanted a celeste Concept, but they are hard to find in good shape around here so I figured, why not! Do you like it?!

Posted almost 13 years ago

Benson

Benson says:

Oh so its kinda like a jade green! It would be cool if Raleigh decals were similar to Bianchi's. Post pictures after decals are applied! Looks good so far!
