Just finished building this up! Still playing around with the fit. I didn't really like the stock paint/graphics on this frame. I felt they were too busy and that they took away from the frame itself, so I repainted it!

look like leader 725 seafoam green. how's the geometry between the raleigh and 725?
Posted almost 11 years ago
It is definitely tighter on the Raleigh, and build quality is better also. Cheers!

How did you repaint this frame and how much did it cost you? Done professionally? I kinda want to do the same to mine (I have the exact same frame as you, it looks like)
Posted over 11 years ago
I sandblasted the frame and then primed and painted, sanding very lightly in between. I did it all myself. Cheers!

Dope Build! Hey what do you think is the highest chainring this frame can handle?

Bottle cage?

Thanks man, the Profile Design RM-1 is 3x as much so I really appreciate the reply.
Posted almost 12 years ago
One more question, how much was this frameset new? I can't seem to find a price anywhere.
Posted almost 12 years ago
I paid $599 plus tax. If I remember correctly it was a small run of frames.
Posted almost 12 years ago
Before the crash how did you like this frame? I might buy one. Was it stiff, noodley etc?
Posted about 12 years ago
really nice - cool wheelset. did you get a new stock fork? i recently broke the fork on my moda but couldn't get the fork alone...
great to see you and the bike being ok again!
Posted about 12 years ago
Saw a pic of this with a broken fork, what happened?? Hopefully you're alright!
Posted about 12 years ago
Yeah, I'm alive, just really sore and scraped up! Thanks for asking! I was riding home from work yesterday and next thing I know I was getting t-boned by a car!

looks a bit like the macaframa frame with a different paintjob. like it though better than the macaframa...
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks alot! I think it is the same as the Macaframe but I'm not positive.
Posted almost 13 years ago
The maca frames seems to use half the tubing from the 2010 frames and half the tubing from the 2008 frames. Seems like they had tubes leftover and combined the 2 older frames to make the macaframa frame.

It's a pretty nice build. I must say, I've never really tried Cadence bar tape, but I would suggest you try Lizard Skins instead. Very comfortable.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Lizard sins are very durable. Even when wrecking or falling down the tape holds together swell!
Posted almost 13 years ago
awesomeness! my first fav bike on pedalroom just so u kno.. anw, prefer the initial frame color though
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks alot! I knew that not everyone would like the new color but I'm happy with it! The stock paint wasn't that bad but there were too many logos and I thought it looked too busy.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Loving the new paint job! Really awesome build.
Have you had any problems with the chub hub?? The older models had a lot of issues so i was wondering if that's still the case.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks alot man, glad you like it! As far as the Chub hubs, I have not had a single problem at all with them! I love them!
Posted almost 13 years ago

There you go! Just send them an email and ask if they can order it for you. That's what I did.

how hard was it for you to get the rando's on the tb-14's?
Posted almost 13 years ago
The Rando was brand new so it was pretty hard. I thought i was going to pinch the tube for sure.
Posted almost 13 years ago
True. I got mine on brand new with help but i recently got a flat and I couldn't get the rando back on and neither could the bike shop, so i bought a new tire haha. i was just wondering if anyone else ran into this problem...
Posted almost 13 years ago
I had a bitch of a time getting a new one on my campy wheelset.
Posted almost 13 years ago
I heard the tb14s are a bitch when you try to install the tires on them, im getting soon soon. And I don't think they can be much harder than trying to get the gartor skin onto the rear Reynolds rim.
Posted almost 13 years ago
well i've installed a few different tires on them and it wasn't too hard. but the rando was insanely difficult for me.
Posted almost 13 years ago
How are the time atacs?
Posted almost 13 years ago
I really like them! Easy to get in and out of, adjustable and they feel really secure.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Very nice!
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thank you! I was hoping people would like it! Love your GT by the way, if you ever decide to sell it, let me know! Where'd you get a Pedal Room t-shirt?
Posted almost 13 years ago
I'll let you know! The shirts I had made a while back. I'm working on more and hope to have them done and online within a couple months.

Painted it Celeste green? Are you gonna throw on Raleigh Decals on it?
Posted almost 13 years ago
Yes, I had some Raleigh decals made for it. I'm picking those up tomorrow. As far as the color, it's a Montana color called Malachite I believe. It does look very close to celeste. I have always wanted a celeste Concept, but they are hard to find in good shape around here so I figured, why not! Do you like it?!
Posted almost 13 years ago
Oh so its kinda like a jade green! It would be cool if Raleigh decals were similar to Bianchi's. Post pictures after decals are applied! Looks good so far!
Posted almost 13 years ago
Damn dude, that thing is SO sick!
Posted almost 13 years ago
And I love your drive train setup! I'll have the same thing very soon. ;]
Posted almost 13 years ago
how much is the frame?
Posted almost 13 years ago
is that msrp? i have a rush hour right now and want to get the rhp since the geo is practically the same.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Yes I believe it is. I ordered mine through a local Raleigh dealer and that's what they charged me.
Posted almost 13 years ago
this is beautiful!
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks man! I love your Dodici too! How do you like the Knog computer?
Posted almost 13 years ago
Those bars look ugly as sin but no doubt great comfortable bars! Raleigh love! Me gusta
Posted almost 13 years ago
They are definitely weird looking, but they are really comfortable!
Posted almost 13 years ago
this is all i wanted! jizzzzzzz
Posted almost 13 years ago
Haha, when I ordered this I was hoping that the 2011 model would still be available. I am very happy with this though! The only thing I don't like is the graphics so I repainted the frame. Hopefully I will be able to get pics up tomorrow!
Posted almost 13 years ago
Glad you like it! I had some Raleigh decals made for it. I should have pics up later today!
Posted almost 13 years ago
Beautiful Raleigh!
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks alot! I have been riding them for about a year now and I like them alot! Very comfortable in the drops and on top.
Posted almost 13 years ago

Posted almost 13 years ago
Me too! I just had them laced up to H Plus Son TB14 rims. I'll try to get pics up tomorrow!
Posted almost 13 years ago

Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks man! Did the fork on your Trek come painted like that?
Posted almost 13 years ago
Sweet ride
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks! I like your Macaframe too! I have been wondering if it is the same frame a my RHP. They look like they are identical.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Great job. Looks good and comfortable.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks alot! I love what you've done with your Low too. I wanted a Low but I was too impatient to wait the 6 month waiting period. Now that I have this I think a Low will be next!
