When I started thinking about this bike, I wanted a modern 4130 chromoly track frame that still employed the old school quill stem. That was not an easy combo for me to locate. I did finally find it with the double-butted, lugged 4130 Pure Fix Premium. This bike arrived in chrome, just like those old BMXs we used to ride around the neighborhood. I found a fella who does powder coating for tube framed race cars in my area and I periodically change the colors of my frames.
