87 Schwinn Traveler

It was real dirty, but cleaned up super well. It was obviously not ridden much. Swapped out the stem shifters for indexed downtube shifters. Got rid of the crap brake levers and put on cross levers only. Cranks not original either. I took a spill on it one morning and dislocated my thumb. It sucked.

Crankset/Bottom Bracket:
Shimano RX100, but going back to original.

Shimano Light Action derailleurs, SunRace clamp on downtube shifters- indexed.

Brakes:
stock sidepulls. Want dual pivots.

Now how can you see that?! No, I'm not sure of the year. I think I compared color and decals to an old catalog I found online.

Are you sure that isn't an 88? That's what it looks like it says on the head badge. First three digits are the day of the year (1-365) and last digit is the last digit of the year.
