Hi, i have the same frameset and same fork, but can’t properly install it because there is quite a big space for the lower bearing and head tube scratches the fork a little. Could you tell me how did you solve the problem ?

Are you using the Alan frame and Alan fork? If yes, are you using the Dedacciai headset that came with the frame and fork? There should be no problem with this setup.

The fork is a weird design, similar to something Specialized used back in the 2000 oughts. The head tube has the bearing race recessed about 1/2 an into the head tube. Maybe they did this for durability, to keep it out of the mud and water. If you use a fork that is not the one sold with this frame, like Enve, it will not work without an adapter to fill the empty space of the recessed race. Specialized sold adapters like this back in the day. I can provide more info if you need it.

I have both forks but can’t use the enve. Headset is fsa but it is identical to deddacai. How specialized adapter is called? Thank you for response!

I believe this is the problem you are facing and that I faced with the Enve fork:

It can be resolved with a tall spacer. I ran a version of the ones below, but had some headset knock and loosening. You can give it a try. The Cane Creek version is press fit. The Specialized version is a split ring and easier to install. I used a version of this specialized spacer. Mine looks different though, without the holes and it is silver.

Cane Creek:

Let me know if it works.

Don't order that Specialized spacer. It's not the right one. The Cane Creek should work, but I cannot find a photo of it installed. I am searching for the correct Specialized spacer. I think it was discontinued.

Here is a the adapter in sample #2 of the image in the link. It has the part# as well. I think the Cane Creek will work similarly. Try at your own risk, but it worked for me.
