Curious why you went away from the Grand Bois tires. I have been looking for a fat set of slicks for mine, and the Compass tires have been looking good.

moved to NYC, where the streets are paved with broken glass. flats on every other ride. GBs were fine for riding in Iowa though, and I'm sure the Compass tires are equally good

just curious, why'd you decide to go with downtube shifters as opposed to bar end or sti?
and where's the rear rack!?

didn't want STI on this one, so I went with downtubes for the sake of a cleaner front end + easier handlebar swaps in the future; as for rear cargo, the plan is to go with a saddle bag on a carradice support
