My first bike build (except for the wheel lacing). Building a bike without a work stand is pretty hard. Basically followed instructions from YouTube (mostly from RJ the Bike Guy) and Park Tool instructions. A couple of issues were: 1. Scratched the headset race and lock nut because no spanner as big as 32mm was available at the time and used a pipe wrench with grooves. 2. Scratched the front of the stem where it goes inside the steerer tube because it was pushed in a little too deep and had to wiggle it up a little. :( Probably need to invest in a proper work stand and better tools. Or just take it to the LBS. Great experience though!
