I'm not sure, it's something I'm looking in to, I guess it would probably be wise, and protect the finish/frame further

Looks rad! been thinking about repainitng mine. Was this originally the grey/red/yellow paint scheme?

Yeah this was originally coated in the CAAD5 red/yellow with grey background
The gentleman who had it before me stripped it.
I've still got a lot of sanding/stripping and most importantly polishing left to do, hopefully get it as close to mirror as possible then get it clearcoat lacquered.
