Nice Concept! The wheels look real nice!
Posted over 12 years ago
Thanks! They will be on my '87 Pista once it's built up. And this frameset will be no longer mine in a few days :(

I need a pista concept in my life
Posted almost 13 years ago
I'm thinking of getting rid of it soon. Awesome Bolt btw, very well built!
Posted almost 13 years ago
I'm just not feeling it. It rides great, but idk... I'm still gonna keep it for a few more months though. I put more miles on this in about 1 or 2 months then I did on the IRO in 6 months.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Hey, yeah yours turned out! And that wheelset :O
Posted almost 13 years ago
I would, but I love this fork! It's the same thing as the Pista Concept fork. And yeah, I love the wheels! Thanks man

Nice Build!! keep up the good work. kinda looks like my old frame. sold it to a guy in your area who also had a friend with the same macaframa bike.
Posted almost 13 years ago
That's probably me. I believe you were building up a MASH at the time and you needed money which is why you were selling it.
Posted almost 13 years ago
yep thats me. wow your build came out way better than i thought. glad it went in good hands. good job man. maybe we can go riding sometime.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Glad you like it! Thanks a lot for the frame man, I'm loving it! And forsure man if I am ever in the your area I'd be down to ride. You live in Cupertino, right?
Posted almost 13 years ago
were you biking up highway 1 without brakes? what was that like?
Posted almost 13 years ago
Nah, went around through a trail that leads us there. It was about 20 miles to get there. It was super fun though.
Posted almost 13 years ago
That's awesome! Did you take Old La Honda then La Honda? Or something else?
Posted almost 13 years ago
To be honest, I'm not sure. I hadn't gone through that route before so I just followed my friends haha.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Do you wanna go riding sometime? I'd love to see your Concept in person. I'm in Menlo Park btw
Posted almost 13 years ago
That'd be awesome. Dang, that's a bit far haha. I'm in Salinas (right next to Monterey).
Posted almost 13 years ago
Oof, Salinas is kind of far away. Well, if you're in my area any time soon, hit me up and we can go riding :)
Posted almost 13 years ago
Definitely. I might get those rb021s from you. Btw, how tall are you? You look like a giant .___.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Sure turned out great! Are you interested in some Nitto RB-021's? I've got some silver 38cm ones. I think I'm near you since I saw this frame when it was originally for sale on cl!
Posted almost 13 years ago
sorry for the late response, I didn't see that you responded until now. And I'd rather sell them or trade them for larger (40cm+) bullhorns.
Posted almost 13 years ago
needs pista record cranks and that stem slammed. otherwise looking nice
Posted almost 13 years ago
Maybe in the future. Dont have the money to get the crankset + bb. As for the stem... it's angled down to simulate a Nitto Jag or any other threaded track stem.
Posted almost 13 years ago
slam it... your not riding a quill stem so trying to mimic it is pointless. Besides if you want the downward sloping effect on a thread less stem, just run a deda newton pista
Posted almost 13 years ago
It's a Cinelli Pista... technically the same thing as the Deda Newton Pista. I will probably put it a spacer down though... but not slam.
Posted almost 13 years ago
I know you are not. I'm stating that that's the way the stem is supposed to be that way. It is a tad high but I like it that way. I may put it a few spacers down but I'm not gonna slam it. Thanks anyways.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Dont slam it cause of looks. Slam it only if its comfortable for your riding position.

Yo!! Killer Wheelset u have there Mane..
A Campy C Record Aero seatpost would Hella set it off!!
lovin ur build
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks man. I absolutely love the wheels! I actually just finished the build a few days ago. Gonna post pics in a bit.
Posted almost 13 years ago
whoops. I derped and accidentally deleted my own comment. I didn't see that you were going with the Arione and I thought that you were keeping the Charge, so that's why I recommended a Flite or Turbo. I've never ridden with the Arione, but I've heard good things about it, so I bet it'll be great. Can't wait to see it fully built up! :)
Posted almost 13 years ago
you got the campy wheels. now where's the rest of the campy family? ;)
Posted almost 13 years ago
great wheels! Show some picture of them mounted!! Also, get some 75's or Campy Record Pistas for this beast!
Posted almost 13 years ago
I'm not currently in the country (had someone pick them up for me). Once I get back to the States in about 4 days I'll take pics! And that's the plan! I'm thinking Omniums or 75's.
Posted almost 13 years ago
with this build, i'd recommend either campy record pista's (preferrably) or 75's.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Ohhhhh how I miss mine.. You should build yours exactly like mine. Hahah.
Posted almost 13 years ago
I wish! Those reynolds are sexy as fuck. I found some polished deep v's to phil for 300, might pick those up. But I really want to get some track wheels like those reynolds
Posted almost 13 years ago
I'm in Mexico right now so nothing will be bought for a while... once I get back on the 5th of Jan I'll order a headset asap and I'm gonna ride with my mavic cxp22s for a few weeks till I decide what wheels to get and get the $
Posted almost 13 years ago
I'm considering a Mavic Elliipse wheelset right now and on the hunt for them. Found a guy selling a front Ellipse and a rear Deep V I might pick those up and sell the rear Deep V to get a rear Ellipse online.

This is nice
Whats the year?
Posted almost 13 years ago
'07 or '08, not sure. It's the only year they made a pearl white Pista Concept
Posted almost 13 years ago
I wish i had a pista concept :(
im stuck with a gay leader!
Posted almost 13 years ago
true. if you don't like it, don't ride it. sell it and move on to something better.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Nice foundation! Go with the B123s, you can't go wrong with their classic curves. I believe the Aeon has a 26.0 clamp, so you'll need a shim though.
Posted about 13 years ago
Thanks! Might be trading my RB-021's for some B123's this weekend... And yes it is but I'm planning on getting a new stem sooner or later
Posted about 13 years ago
Well. I REALLY want drops... Any other track drops that'll be more comfortable? Considering road drops too, but really want track drops.
Posted about 13 years ago
Keep your bullhorns so u can switch em out. I have Deda Pista drops which are good and I hear Cinelli Pista drops are comfortable.
Posted about 13 years ago
Ive tried the Deda Pistas and i likes those, allthough on long ride the tops of em made my hands pretty sore. I personally like road drops, they give you more stability while skidding. IMO
Posted about 13 years ago
If you want drops get some road bars like the Deda Zero 100 or FSA Omega Wing compact. Highly recommend!!!!!!
Posted about 13 years ago
cant wait to see the whole build!
Posted about 13 years ago
Thanks man! The build might be postponed till after winter break, unfortunately :/
