Cannondale CAD3 Team Saeco replica 1999

This a Cannondale CAAD3 Team Saeco replica 1999. Please note that the image of the bike in it original colours (red black yellow) as seen here is not a photo of the bike I bought. Unfortunately I did not take a photo of this beauty in the well neglected state in which I found it. Allow me to digress. This was a random find at a garage sale and needless to say I took advantage of its shabby condition to drive its asking price down even further. I knew I was looking at a gem and the seller (a rude bonafide a!!hole) was a clueless cod! I politely asked how much? His response "That piece of s--t! $100. No make it $140 and its yours!" Well I liked the first price better and after pointing out just how much work it need and some heavy haggling I offered im $80.00 (AUD). He scoffed, I walked, he folded, my heart fluttered. So that is the backend story to this dreamy fairytale find. Fast forward to my workshop where I prepared to give back some much needed love to this classic beast with a ground up custom hybrid rebuild. I stripped back the damaged paint back to a bare aluminium frame and then hand polished it to a mirror finish. Fitted it with some new worthy parts, and she lives again. Long story short, bought for a song from a nonce and restored and revived with love by me (Good story I thinks).
