I really enjoy the fact you run a break. Has to make such a difference in keeping that bike in pristine condition. Track bike chainstays aren't designed to withstand the torque of skidding.
I for one just avoid skidding at all costs and try to implement foot jams instead

On a bike a millimeter up or down is like the difference between night and day. Lower your seatpost and level out your saddle, you should find it to be much more comfortable.
