Where did you get the cervelo T1? I'm searching the internet dealer of this frames during 2 month, but with no result
Posted over 10 years ago
Niggi if das your TT setup then what if you do a 200m or 500m TT, you're going to still run the aerobars?
Posted over 11 years ago
How come you angle your Ec90s like that?
Posted over 11 years ago
It more comfortable for me when i go into my sphinx position when i chase down someone when i race. Plus when im in the drops it feels the same when they are level.

Is 50:15 a good Ratio?
Posted almost 12 years ago
I wouldn't ride that ratio on the street. It's hard on the legs. I usually run 50:17 on the street and 50:15 on the track. I like to spin, but some people like to push big gears. It depends on your body.

Hey ive saved up for this frame im interested where you ordered it from
Posted almost 12 years ago
Proper, brilliant hints of black finished metal! A treat to my eyes as I build my Cervelo T1..
Posted about 12 years ago
What kind of light setup did you use when taking the photos?
Also, great build. Never seen aerobars on mash bullhorns before, great combo.
Posted about 12 years ago
damn your arms look pretty straight man... a little too aggressive maybe? ;p that's why my stem isn't slammed.
Posted about 12 years ago
Nope, it's fine the way it is. Guess you're not that flexible as I am! :PP
Posted about 12 years ago
maybe you've just got slenderman arms in comparison to your body :p

thought of getting a formation face, but im curious over ur cervelo, why formation face instead of low profile rims? wont that rims a lil too heavy for ur bike?
Posted about 12 years ago
Long sotry short, I had the formation Face for 1.5 years and didn't want to let it go. so i built it up with a Phil. Bombproof on the street and stiff enough for the track. Also adds $wAg to the bike with the erected sidewalls instead of low profile rims.

OMG neildude...finally you can race on velodrome.congrats man!
Posted about 12 years ago
What a coincidence! I was updating my track photos on here! haha. Check em out. Finally, won my first big race this season so far. Northern California Junior State Champion.
Posted about 12 years ago
wow your bike and your photography are awesome man! what kind of camera did you use to shoot the FTP and the T1?
Posted about 12 years ago
oh nice, the pics comes out so clean and crisp...i only shoot with my D40 and its really time for me to upgrade lol
Posted about 12 years ago
HEY! what aerobars are those bro! (:
Posted about 12 years ago
no, no, no...they are called Ultra fixxie swag bars. It's the brand new HIP-45 CX fixxie swag bars. (Forte Aerobars)
Posted about 12 years ago
$w337 f1x13! wish I knew how to take pics. oh and that secret place in srow. i know it ;)
Posted about 12 years ago
Get some new pics with the bars! btw did you damage your omniums or something?
Posted about 12 years ago
Yeah, I will, this week hopefully. Haha. What made you say that i damaged my omniums?

How do they feel on the street? I'm ordering a 54cm and it's gna be mainly for street use. What do you feel about that? Any opinions?
Posted over 12 years ago
It rides really aggressive on the streets. due to its stiffness, you can feel the small bumps in the road. The handling is very smooth and you can predict where your line is going to be around a corner. Going up hill is very easy compared to a FTP. You can feel the stiffness of going up and accelerate harder than before. How ever you just got to look out for potholes, cracks, and tracks. It hates being abused and having a full carbon fork makes you more cautious. Also you have to torque down very up to spec or you'll risk the carbon.
Posted over 12 years ago
Thanks so much for your reply. You helped alot. I'm thinking of changing the fork to add a brake in. Been in a major accident once so safety first. :x
Thanks again for your input. You've helped alot.

Great set up! How do you like the Izumi V chain? I hear it's very tough but loud..
Posted over 12 years ago
I love it! best chain i've used so far. The chain is very smooth and silent. Chainline is spot on and using a ZEN racing chaining and Phil cog could be the explanation of a smooth and quiet super toughness.
Posted over 12 years ago
how do you find the shimano 105?
and also what the float on your cleats?
Posted over 12 years ago
I can't really compare them to any other pedals, as they are my first clip less pedals. All though, they are very durable. I haven't clipped out of them while doing emergency skids and trying to slow down. My tension is on 1/4 of tension and my cleats are held on tight. All though you can tighten them up even more if you want a semi-permanent hold :P

really cool , change rear rims to h+son archetype dude
Posted over 12 years ago
Nahh, I love the rear wheel setup already. I am thinking of building up Hplusson TB14's laced on low flange dura aces.

I like the new photos!

Thanks bro! I have a little secret photoshoot place in Santana Row. Haha
Posted over 12 years ago
I don't think cinelli mash bullhorn is nice untill i saw this. Time to change rotor 3D track bro !
Posted over 12 years ago
Yeah, at first i thought they were really overpriced, ugly's. Til i got them for a steal! $50. They don't look good naked (w/o bartape and aerobars) but once they're setup, they look gnarly. I'm sticking with Omniums for a long time until they break or start to become outdated. But, I'll look into the 3D cranks!

The stickers got me, I thought it was an 808! How does the carbon wheels perform? I'm curious how these chinese/taiwanese wheels do performance wise
Posted over 12 years ago
Haha! Yeah, alot of people think its a real Zipp. These are the Prolite 88mm carbon with the zipp decals. They perform really well when the wind is calm. However once the winds gust around 20-25mph it gets a bit wobblely when you hold in the base bars, but on the aerobars you don't feel a thing. I never compared them to a real zipp, but I'll let you know the comparasion. I also upgraded the bearings in the hubs with ceramic, so they spin forever.
Posted over 12 years ago
Thanks a lot! That's helpful. I thought these wheels were the dengfu carbon you had on the FTP. My bad! I'm thinking of getting a pair of carbon wheels but not willing to fork out so much for them. The OEMs are cheap but I'm worried about the quality. Alright sure let me know how they compare to Zipp!
Posted over 12 years ago
Yeah, the deep rims really work! The winds today were gusting 22-27mph. I had a lot of headwind but I felt as if the wheel was pushing against the wind almost giving you a slight tailwind...kindof. Maybe it's the yaw factor of the wheels. but you can definitely feel the aerodynamics of the deep rim. I would try to invest in some carbon! By far the best investment I had not including the Cervelo. I'm planning on getting a rear Zipp 900 disc in the near future. No street riding with it! that's just ignorant. Ha!
Posted over 12 years ago
Whoops...I just noticed that. This one is the dengfu rim not the prolite. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Was thinking of someone elses carbon front.
Posted over 12 years ago
ahh that sounds nice! You might as well build a TT bike with the set up man! Yep, I'm thinking about that too. Carbon seems to be the way to go. I tried out some HED3s before and was really impressed by its performance. Cuts the wind like nothing! Thanks for the infos btw.

Good choice with the saddle swap!

YO quick question, what differences you feel between the ftp and the t1? does the t1 feels more solid/rigid than the ftp?
Posted over 12 years ago
the cervelo is by far the better bet than the FTP. I noitced when i climb hills with the T1, i can feel the stiffness and climb faster with it. based on friends. sprint start offs with the T1 feel more solid and less twitchy than the FTP. the T1 has a more relaxed geo and doesn't give me back pain. T1: ftp. 9:6 solidness 8:5 hill climbing 10:8 energy transfer. However the T1 has really thin paint and can't crash on it. carbon steerer and seat post will break on a hard impact.
Posted over 12 years ago
sound like a very stiff frame man!, glad you like it. hey are you somekind of an athlete? cause you have a purposed build racing bike....
or maybe its just a daily beater with highly parted bike??
Posted over 12 years ago
I use it for street riding. However twice a week I'm at hellyer park velodrome getting some training in. So I purposely made it for the track and street. Such as the Phil laced to h plus son rear, and all of the racing components purposely mixed in for a street/track setup. Never would I use this bike a beater bike! I do a full cleaning (take every apart: degrease, relube, regrease) every 3 weeks. And a wipe down every week.
Posted over 12 years ago
What?front novatec hub?change it brah!
Posted over 12 years ago
It came built in with the wheel. It works anyways, smooth bearings. why change it?
Posted over 12 years ago
What's with the Brooks? And don't tell me its about comfort because a track bike is not about comfort.
; )
Posted over 12 years ago
I currently ran the brooks on my past bikes. I don't have any other saddle on my hands. I'm trying to sell the Brooks and get a Fizik Arione for it.
Posted over 12 years ago
You ever try a Selle Italia SLR? I have a spare in Red that was going to the T1. I may have to run into you and T1 it out!
Posted over 12 years ago
Awesome to see a bike like this on the street. Must be really stiff; how does it ride?
Posted over 12 years ago
Rides like a dream. You can feel the bb is stiffer than my old fuji track pro. It's not twitchy and it's very comfortable!
Posted over 12 years ago
Yeah, I have the exact same frameset. This is the greatest frame compared to every other shitty ass aluminum track frame. Cervelo always comes out with the best and they put their products out there as proof.

Where's the lockring
Posted about 10 years ago
neilmandude says:
You don't need one when you race track. It's time consuming to screw it on and off when you change gears 3-4 times per race night.

I guess you guys don't skid much either lol

Smart enough to not skid on $140 race tubulars.
