Hey, how is the chainline on your 44rn and phil wood hubs? I made the mistake of lacing mine to Paul hubs and the chainline is pretty noisy. Thinking about switching over to Phils. Thanks!

arelyt says:

sorry, i didn't see this until now. hope it's not too late, but my chain line was pretty spot on and as quiet as you can get. part of that had to do with the phil wood bottom bracket. since it has 5mm of adjustment each way it's easy to get a perfect chainline. i would switch out the bottom bracket before switching out hubs.

looks like it's too late, and you had omnium's so you couldn't use the advice anyways haha. sorry.

It's no problem. I just became kind of annoyed with it since I spent a lot of money and still needed to buy more things for it. I put that money into my new road bike. I appreciate the response anyway!

Proper! Give you props for having a Mash that doesnt look like every other mash on this page.

Posted over 12 years ago

arelyt

arelyt says:

thanks! yeah, i was trying not to make it like every other mash. and in response to your comment on velospace, the angles are pretty relaxed. its a super smooth ride and surprisingly comfortable on longer rides.

Very nice build! The silver components really make it stand out from the usual black on a lot of these frames. well done!

Posted over 12 years ago

yeah, most of these are built up with all black components. i personally think it looks much cleaner with all silver.
