Brakes are death bro. Get rid of it. I broke my collarbone when i had a front brake too.

Yeap. I totally agree. If I wouldn't have had the front brake, I wouldn't have broken my collarbone. No question. I've avoided using it completely ever since.

Thanks! More pics coming after I build a new wheelset...and not because I dislike the Phils/OpenPros because I do love them, but I'm moving them to a different bike and putting something else on my MASH.

I'm 6'1" with a 32" inseam; I normally ride a 56 or 57. Seems these feel like they run a tad large due to the geometry.

I'm thinking about getting some phil hubs, how do you like them on your mavic open pros?

Posted over 11 years ago

dsicle

dsicle says:

They're a great combo if you're looking for a classic look, especially with the polished high flange on the Phils. Open Pros ride great, too, they seem to absorb the road better than the deeper rims on my other bikes. Throw in the wider 25c tires and it's surprisingly plush ride for a track bike.
