Cinelli MASH Work S.F.

So this is my last go at being able to build a bike from the frame up. I wanted to go all out on it and what better frame to do it on. A Cinelli Mash Work frame. My goal here was to be as minimalistic as possible...said every fixed gear build...lol. But do so with the best parts possible. I'm a sucker for Phil Wood parts so this bike will be built around most of their components if not all. UPDATED: 2020 DECEMBER 27 this build is still ongoing 5 years later. This frame has yet to see one minute of asphalt since being purchased- but has traveled thousands of miles with me till I finally made it back home to Texas. I've decided to update my pictures of the frame and parts that revolve around this build in hopes that maybe one day when I'm done with all my other projects I can return to something thats simple, yet enjoyable...and thats building bikes.

The only thing on the bike is the Phil Wood bottom bracket. The bike has never been assembled. Anything could be for sell if the price is right...certainly won’t be cheap. I personally picked this bike up from MASH in San Francisco.

How much for the bare frameset?

Over 1000.00 easy. I’d let it go for the right price but I’m also not going out of my way to get the BB removed. Anyone trying to buy it would buy it “as is”. This is one of the first frames MASHSF had in their store. I bought this within the first week MASHSF had them in stock.

I don't believe this frame came in evens, only odds. As of now it's still waiting to be built. But anything is for sell for the right price.

Yes I remember Mash advertising in 53 , 55 , 57 cm sizes , based on top tube measurement. I'm looking for a medium which would have a 53 cm top tube. I will pm you.

This is going to be good! I am in love with the PW crankset, but it's way out of my price range currently.

good luck man, mine was stressfull! make sure you get the right headset and dont freakout about how close the chain ring is to the frame!

Morning_Runner

Morning_Runner says:

I know! I'll try not to stress too much. I as of right now I'm trying to get as many titanium parts I can get for this bad boy. I want to go all out since it will be my last build. :/

I'm thinking of the Chris King Ti head set though.

Ya can't go wrong with a king ;)

But to answer you question! My wife says I have too many "expensivel" hobbies. So this will be my last bike build so I can get back to working on my car..the biggest/longest project of my life! Lol

Me too. I've learned from my past build what I really want out of a future bike. So I'm building this one exactly how should of done my first. It will take time but I dont want just "any parts" going on to this and I have no problem waiting for quality parts. I don't see a point in wasting my time/money on cheaper stuff if I'd only end up replacing it later on down the road.

Karl says:

Sounds like you've really thought it through! I completely agree - i've done that, though - replacing and upgrading parts along the way. But it's often random parts since i buy a lot of bikes - and if i find a nice seatpost i mount it on my keeper and throw something shitty on the other bike and then sell it on - means getting free upgrades but just not specifik ones. I dream of one day building a bike like this where every single part is carefully chosen!
