I didn't know about cinelli MTB and them beeing pro gary fisher. The fork looks funny to. the bend looks like a mechanical progressiv bottom out with the potential of getting stuck

Yeah, unfortunately they didn't stick with making their own MTBs and farmed it out to Fisher. No idea what you mean by the fork, but, being that it's from 1990, and has provided me with consistent 100mm compression and rebound, and it's never bottomed out, I don't see the problem.
