Happened to stumble across your thread – regarding the ordering process of this bike on velospace forums – while trying to find a geo chart for the Gara somewhere. Ever since Dodici shut shop it's been difficult to source any such information.

Either way, glad I found this here to see what color you ended up with after requesting a few repaints. This is more of a lavender than the earlier light blue-ish you posted in that thread?

Do you still own the Veloce? Would be very curious to see how it has been beaten in and what it looks like now.

yeah I requested a blue lilac but it came out more lavenderish

Honestly it hasn’t been touched for years since I purchased a Bridgestone track frame a couple years back. I actually am looking to sell the Veloce frame with everything except for the wheelset. Let me know if you’re interested

Thanks but not looking, I have a untouched Gara (newer model from their closing sale for 240eurodollars frame only back in idk 2016?) stored and building it up with flat crown steel fork and 32mm panaracers for this summer and the cobbled streets of Helsinki. Kind of like a budget-find-eternal-project-ctrack-wannabe. I stand in the doorway to my closet and look at the pile of components longingly all too often.

Components are sourced mostly 2nd hand and include Zipp, Flite, Thomson and Sugino in all the right places ;)

I think I got a lot of bike for sub 800 euros in total. Just needs to be put together, but that'll only happen once this 1ft-deep snow melts in like april or something -_-

Thanks, I'd offer to sell it to you but it be too big for you. The effective seatube is 51cm and the top tube is 53.5cm. Your pista is a lot smaller.

yeah man the frame is perfect for the streets. Definitely not as twitchy as my 07 Pista. However, I might swap the pearl for a jag and see how that feels. Plus, the stem looks too exposed.
