why did you go from fsa carbon crankset to rotor alu crankset

The important thing about it was going from 165 to 172.5 which is better for me. As for the Rotor brand, I already had FSA, a lot of Sugino and the Rotor has a disk instead of a spider.

The LoJack sticker is not a good idea in my opinion.
People will take the bike apart in 3 minutes trying to find and remove the Lo-Jack unit.
If you don't have that sticker, bike thieves will problably take longer to work on it, giving you or the police a greater chance to track the bike down. just my $0.02.

I put the device inside the bike in such a way that it would take hours to remove and I don't leave the bike locked up anywhere. It's merely to deter thugs with their moronic "ideas".

you can install sugino zen in fsa crankset. I've seen a few setups on the pedalroom.
about toeclips: in the city I like to use toeclips, but I'm afraid to wipe carbon. In my steel cranks i have a groove from the use toeclips.

It sounds like your shoes are too wide and the pedal spindle isn't long enough. I'm going to put a zen on the FSA someday.

why you replaced the sugino on FSA? what do you think is better? Can I use FSA on the street with toeclips or just with clipless?

I replaced the SG75 with the FSA because the FSA had a much wider Q-factor which helps my feet. Another reason was because I wanted 165mm but my Sugino was 175mm crank arm length. Toeclips or clipless are both OK.

I think the Sugino Zen chain rings are definitely better but the FSA crankset is a little lighter than the SG75 I have.

Thanks man. At this point the only things left to improve on or change are chain rings and wheels. Wheels are an expensive issue though.

That's the purpose of it but I take it out briefly on the street and then directly to the parkway for a workout. I chose the color scheme based on the "stock" color they had at the time but now I'm realizing I need something less flashy. It turns so many heads.

I'm referring to the glossy "Speng.. type. I dunno but it seemed to me that the rear hub was backwards as per the cutting edge being a "scoop" shape rather than most other tri-spoke wheels that typically bow forward. Anyway.. if you're going to get this type or tri spoke get them from the AliBaba sites and get them from X-bike.(I'm talking about the "Cori.. knock offs. They're not bad IMHO.(Actually seem to be stiff like HM carbon was used)

I was concerned that ordinary paint might alter it's integrity so I took the easy way out. The vinyl turned out to be stretchable to an extent and conforms smoothly.

Ebat is one place to get these. Personally I like them. They're actually <1700g and I don't see anything terribly wrong with them. I'm sure there will be a lot of opinions about these as they make their way across the pacific. That's politics! In my opinion they're decent training wheels.

nice, but just recommend adding a second brake lever, changing out the crank set and depending on the kind of riding you want to do -- change the wheels. Don't go ape shit on tarck shit. Can't really tell what kinda riding you like

I have a few sets of wheels so that's no prob. Instead of another brakes I rather changing to safer streets As for riding style, I cruise slowly, get to where I can train, and then do series' of blistering (hopefully) workouts.

money over sense. chain, crankset, chainring are cheap shit, especially in comparison to the expensive frame+wheelset. and why running a brake in the rear? if you need a brake you should run a front brake.

it's all your preference and in no way does it make you a wimp. i'm riding in a super lax area where there isnt' much traffic and i haven't gotten into a situation where i need it but as soon as i'm scared once i'm going to slap that bad boy back on. but anyone in a bigger area i would totally rock a brake. no shame.
