Is the down tube cracked at the bottom bracket? If so, how did that happen?
Posted over 11 years ago
damn never heard of that happening before, on any frame really? are you sure it isn't just the paint that's cracked?
Posted over 11 years ago
the chain stay cracked, theres no such thing as paint cracking. once the frame cracks every thing cracks
Posted over 11 years ago
Probably the chainstay cracked due to the forces that are created near the bb when skidding i guess(i love riding downhill with my trackbike). :/

Damn that's a bummer. I always wanted one for street riding. I'm sure I'd break the bike since I weigh over 200lbs

No man stay with your precursa(awesome btw),it has the same geometry as the track champ and its way better for street riding!

Wrap the bars and get rear wheel with MSW too - would look real good because of silver chainring/black cranks combo.
Cheers

what's MSW? yeah i keep saying i will buy some bartape but i keep postponing it lol

Machined side wall.
I used to ride without bartape on my previous and current bike too, but then I got new bars and wrapped them so they wouldn't be all scratched.
