Thanks man, glad you like it. Dosnoventa's whole range is great.

Awesome frame and build! BIG must have on these frames.. How long do you have between middle of BB to saddlerails? Dont now if im going for a 56 or 58..
Posted about 12 years ago
Hey, I totally forgot to reply, sorry this is so late. It's 80cm from middle of BB to rails, but I've had roughly one inch cut off that. Thanks for the comment :)

the cleanest Dsnv i've seen on pedal room by far. Man I'm just hypnotized by their frames, especially the houston nasa! Did you have to saw down your seat tube to get the right height?
Posted about 12 years ago
Hey, glad you like it. I don't think those guys make a bad frame! Yeah I cut an inch off the seat tube. They supply them over-sized so you can get it just right.

amazing bike!! dosnoventa looks amazing! I am wondering which brand is the seatpost clamp? does it came with the purchase of the frame or you had to buy it in another place?
Posted about 12 years ago
Hey, thanks! Yeah, Dosnoventa frames are pretty amazing. Great guys, too. The seat post clamp is made by Selcof and it came with the frame when I bought mine (along with an expanding star nut and headset). You thinking of ordering?
Posted about 12 years ago
thanks for the reply! I'm sure ordering one in the near future, just waiting for some money, or looking if they are going to open a distributor in the US.

Your first fixed gear? How's that Zoncolan? Is it comfy for long ride and for streets? Nice build btw!
Posted over 12 years ago
It's my first serious one. Been riding a steel conversion for exactly a year and love it so much! It's getting the seat tube cut down a bit at the moment so I haven't put serious miles in. Done a bit locally and the saddle is incredibly
comfortable. When I've done some real distances I'll update again and let you know.

Hey, just thought I'd give you an update.
I've found it to be quite uncomfortable on long rides, but I have bought padded bib shorts for longer rides, which I think have improved my seating position and stopped the discomfort. HTH

Cool! Btw, how's your Thomson X2? Some said it is not stiff and the 2 bolts system made the cap easy to cracked.
Posted over 12 years ago
X2 has been great. If you do it up too tight I expect it might cause some damage, but those are carbon forks so the bolts are only done up to 8 or 9nm. Never heard anything about them crushing the cap.

nice build! Amazing though?

Amazing is relative. Compared to my old ride, amazing is an understatement for sure but compared to a lot of others, probably not. Still, it rides like nothing I've ever been on before :)

great build,so clean with white color and american classic wheelset
Posted over 12 years ago
I wasn't sure how those wheels would work, but I'm really pleased with how they make the bike look :)
Posted over 12 years ago
yeah they make simple bike look but have own prestige while riding it :)

wow!
is the ghost bike the new stealth bike?
Posted over 12 years ago
I'm not sure - I guess it's like anything. There was a load of stealth bikes then eventually people want something different. I love stealth bikes but I think people will always prefer black to white so it's nice to have something a bit different.
Wow, I went on a bit there, sorry!

really clean build! did an amazing job. how are you liking the Deda bars?
Posted over 12 years ago
Thank you! So far, I really like the dedas. They're nicely balanced, very light and the drop is proportionately very pleasing compared to the flat. Would definitely recommend them - for the price they're intensely good bars.

It's being finished today (my wheels didn't arrive yet) - I didn't realise it'd be this visible before pictures got added. I'm very new to PedalRoom, sorry!

HanyTheo says:
hei how did you mount a brake on that fork? you drill them?
Posted over 11 years ago
jaspertandy says:
It comes pre-drilled with a rubber cap painted onto the front hole (covering the hole if you decide to go brakeless). I used a drill to go at the cap from behind to remove it. It's only a few mm thick.

HanyTheo says:
so you mean, you can just poke it through? because my dsnv frame just arrived and I wanted to install a front brake[safety first]
Posted over 11 years ago
jaspertandy says:
I'm not sure if the Detroit is exactly the same setup, but I think it is. You should just be able to poke it through, yeah. I didn't want to risk cracking the paint by poking it, though, so I drilled for a cleaner hole. Dosnoventa do say you can just poke it though (I asked them on Facebook when my frame arrived!)
