This is how my bike was when I got hit by a motorist on April 2, 2013. The frame is out of commission and cannot be used for riding.

I've been curious is this frame still rideable? i can't tell from the bb photos if it's the cranks that are bent of the frame.
just curious.

Literally, the B.B. is shifted to the left, since I got hit from the drive-side. The frame looks like it's in good condition, but when seen from behind it's really noticeable. I plan to buy another one soon.

Does the Alpina affect the handling in any way?
Posted over 10 years ago
The Alpina fork was doing me pretty well. No problems whatsoever. Although, the rake on it could give people some toe-overlap problem.
Posted over 10 years ago
The toe overlap was not as bad. the rake was I believe 30 mm and I didn't have any issues. Although, people with smaller frames may have that problem.

You sir, have phenomenal taste. What's the weight on this puppy?
Posted over 11 years ago
Thank you for the compliment! I'm not too sure, for I have taken it apart after my accident and will be bringing this thing back sometime later. I'll be sure to let you know later.

This bike is tits. Big, oily tits. Like DDD big.

If I could post a GIF of some big oiled tits, I would totally do so. Thanks for gazing!

do you like your tb14's or your open pro's better?
Posted over 11 years ago
I've been riding the TB14's more, but I do enjoy the Mavic's. I suppose they are equally good, but the Mavic is apparently stronger and it is a bit more narrow than the TB14.

Hey man. Are you planning on selling our Alpina fork?
Posted almost 12 years ago
Yes. I am looking to get a Chris King headset and use the original bladed fork. And sell my Cane Creek headset.
Posted almost 12 years ago
I think I'll be selling it for $125.00. I got it for $167.89, but I have cut it down twice and it has not been damaged or anything.
Posted almost 12 years ago
That depends on where it is being shipped. I actually haven't weighed it or check how long the steerer tube is.
Posted almost 12 years ago
Alright. Just let me know the details once you get it. I live in NY by the way.
Posted almost 12 years ago
clean build! you take this to the track?
Posted almost 12 years ago
Thank you. I wish! I can't afford to go to the track or take classes. I would like ride track and go fast forever.
Posted almost 12 years ago
Did you get the wheelset from velomine? If so how are they? I'm considering them for a build.
Posted almost 12 years ago
I actually ended up buying the hubs, the rims, and then the spokes and nipples and building the wheels myself. I had someone true them and I messed up on the front wheel. This was before Velomine and online stores had them built already. So far they are pretty good if you are running 23c or 25c tires. I recommend 25c tubes.

Could this thing get any more perfect ?
Posted almost 12 years ago
Possibly get the original fork, 3T fork, or Enve fork with Chris King headset. That's all that I would change on it.

sick setup. but maybe fix that saddle angle? haha
Posted over 12 years ago
Why? I'm usually in the drops and I tend to slide forward, but these photos are from months ago and the angle has changed since then. Looking to get a Phenom 143.

PEEKTURES OF NEW WHEELS PUHLEESE!
Posted over 12 years ago
They are pretty awesome, but they are also seemingly heavy. I'm hoping to get my other wheels built.
Posted over 12 years ago
awesome, definitely the best bare knuckle i've seen.
Posted over 12 years ago
It'll be better with new wheels and maybe a different paint job farther down the road.
Posted over 12 years ago
How are those rims? Have heard bad things about them in the past but the price is nice. Fix that fork before it snaps,CF is weird stuff stress wise. Nice clean build.
Posted over 12 years ago
These wheels have surprisingly lasted me a while, but I plan on swapping them out for a bit with Mavic Open Pro and then H+ Son. The fork is dandy.
And thank you.

No problem. I'm just glad you got rid of those Paul cranks. And thank you!

2 days ago i thought: what would a bearknuckle with an alpina fork look like? could be dope...
now i stumbled upon your bike... really nice :-)
Posted over 12 years ago
Thank you. I'm thinking about putting the original fork on it and putting brakes on this bike.
Posted over 12 years ago
Yeah I hope you are not riding the bike like that with missing spacers/non compressed fork. If you are then good luck messing up that headset and possibly the fork!
Posted over 12 years ago
Im not talking about if headset is installed correctly. Yes stem is slammed but there is nothing compressing the headset and stem.
Posted over 12 years ago
I see what you mean. The stem is pretty tight on there, but I haven't been to REI to have them cut the steerer tube.
Posted over 12 years ago
you can remove the spacers after setting the headset and torquing the stem bolts
Posted over 12 years ago
Us alpina bros have to unite, nice build man!
Posted over 12 years ago
Hella! Although, I would like to try out a Wound Up fork, but I'll re-build my Kilo TT with that ans see how it feels.

Hella! Although, I would like to try a Wound Up fork, but I may apply that to my Kilo.
