Dude is your chainline off with the omniums, I just got the unknown lvl ! and omniums with GXP and my chain like is a little off
Posted almost 12 years ago
Nope my chainline is perfectly fine haha. Have your LBS check it out, and maybe they will know the problem.

Just got this frame and have no idea what headset to use, any tips?
Posted over 12 years ago
It requires a Integrated Italian Standard headset. Enjoy haha

How do you like that bullhorn/extension combo?
Posted over 12 years ago
I love it!
The aero bar isn't very useful when I'm on my daily commute to school with a backpack, but with no backpack on, it's really comfy!

I still haven't seen one of these on the streets yet. I remember city grounds were selling the frame for about $185 at one point. How does it ride?
Posted over 12 years ago
I really like mine, I got it a month or two before it hit stores (same with the uknwn fork) and from how I built it up, it rides like a dream.

Awesome bike, I'm trying to build one myself. What size seat-post will it fit?
Posted over 12 years ago
Great bike I'm getting this I think this week. How much overall ??? $$??
Posted over 12 years ago
Whaaat? Lol im trying to build somthing very similar but im looking like at 1200
Posted over 12 years ago
Oh dang haha, well I got a few hook up from a local shop, and I saved some too from ebay. haha

Lol nice... Btw witch headset is that? Do you like your wheels? Do you skid a lot? How are the tires? lol sox for the questions...
Posted over 12 years ago
It's the FSA Integrated Ceramic revolution IS headset. It the Lv1 works with only Italian Standard headsets.
I like my wheels, probably going to get Phil Wood bearing upgrades soon. No I don't skid at all. I like the tires, smooth, very puncture resistant (haven't gotten a flat yet, and I ride every single day).

I got a PK ripper dc shoes one and i have the velocity rims i like them but for the lv1 i think I'm getting some H+ son
Posted over 12 years ago
The headset on your PK Ripper is probably not going to be able to go on the Lv1
H+Sons are nice

Sweet build, enjoy it.
What size is the fork? Is it a 1' or 1 1/8?
Is the headset 45/45? I hope to upload mine in two weeks.
Posted over 12 years ago
The fork is 1 1/8
and it's a integrated IS headset
and thanks!

how wide is your bb? the 110mm bb on my lvl1 seems to give me a crooked chainline :(
Posted almost 13 years ago
What size cranks do you have?
This frame geometry is kind of weird, so if you have cranks longer than 165 you will probably hit.
and from what I know I have a 110mm bb also.
Posted almost 13 years ago
yeah my cranks are 165 and i just have the slightest rub with the front tire.
do you like how your frame rides? i cant wait to ride mine :D
Posted almost 13 years ago
Can you explain more about how your chain line is crooked? And what fork are you using? Because my unknown fork has a rub also.
Yeah I do, all my parts work together perfectly.
Posted almost 13 years ago
I think the fork rubbing is just how your rim expand the tire, and the rub might be dirt caught on your tiring rubbing the fork.
Posted almost 13 years ago
oh i meant that with my toe clips, i have the slightest toe overlap with the front tire, but its basically like a light rub
but like i think my chainring on the cranks is just not perfectly aligned with the rear cog, causing a crooked chainline.
im using the unknown carbon fork too with vittoria rubino tires, and the clearance is fine. ive read that certain tires wont be able to fit with the fork since the clearance is so small
Posted almost 13 years ago
Yeah my Vittoria Zaffiro tire rubs on the fork lol.
You are rubbing like when turning? if it's that, then it's because you are turning your fork more than leaning to turn a corner.
Yeah it's possible you just need to align your drive train.

Nice man! Check out my bike :)

that's why your bike seemed so familiar

love it, up till now I was about to use two tapes on my deda's I just ordered, but I like your fizike tape... sweet. how are the deda's on your hands?
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks! And To me the dedas feel great, I have the 44cm ones and they are perfect for me
Posted almost 13 years ago
haha, some people recommended them to me, and if you want to try them, in my opinion I don't think you'd be let down.
Posted almost 13 years ago
I just go my dedas and I agree.. they feel great, awesome investment..
Posted almost 13 years ago
Nothing wrong with straps. I use them in my commuter every day! Nice build though(:!
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thank haha. I just stated that, because some of the kids that say they ride fast, put down foot straps. Even though I ride clipless a lot too.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Oops, accidentaly deleted your comment, but exactly! Screw the haters, and ride what you like!
