What is the bike stand you use to prop up your bike for pictures?
Posted over 10 years ago
:O dat front wheel, one of the few steel frames that really grabs my attention nice build!
Posted almost 12 years ago
God damnit! how can i never notice this bike! i never wondering the Nabiis Alchemy will be built like this, such a nice bike
Posted over 12 years ago
Thanks dude. I feel everyone should build their bike with their own imagination and creativity. ;)

Lose those toe clips and level out those bars and you got yourself a alright build.
Posted over 12 years ago
Though the bars may look like they're pointing downwards for show, that really is its most comfortable angle for me.
And I don't think I can go clipless cause I like wearing normal shoes to walk around when I get off my bike in the city. Haha.
Posted over 12 years ago
Van, your bike looks incredible. beyond an "alright build" by far.
Posted over 12 years ago
Such a nice bike, would buy one as well if i knew where to get one.

But the gold decals on black paint is a rare color combo though.

I'm glad you didn't go Mash either.. don't get me wrong, they're nice bikes but I've seen enough of them. it's nice to see people take chances with other bike brands and end up loving them to death.
btw nice wheels.
what's the difference between the "Campagnolo Vento" & the "shimmals"? they seem the same (but that could just be my wheel ignorence) just wondering...
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks! The differences I know of is the Vento has 16 spokes while the Shamal has 12. The Vento uses a Chorus hub, while the Shamal uses a Record hub. All in all, it's about 100g difference. I got all my info from this URL: http://www.campyonly.com/techtalk/techt...
Posted almost 13 years ago
Like it, the geometry is so compact on this frame and the shamal are perfect on this build !
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks. It's a Vento actually. I wish it was a Shamal. Clincher Shamals are so hard to find. And when they're available, they're way too expensive.
Posted almost 13 years ago
You're right, they look so close! Anyway nice build :) How do you like the Sugino Zen ?
Posted almost 13 years ago
Yeah. Shamals are 12-spoke, while Ventos are 16-spoke. So in theory, Ventos are better for the street. The Zen chainring is crazy light. I had a DuraAce chainring to compare weights, and the Zen was actually slightly lighter, even though it looked beefier. I also love how it's so shiny. I actually picked it up at a bike jumble for only $60!

this thing was done so right bro! hows toeclip overlap? pretty tight
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks man. Yeah, toe overlap is present, but I think the photos make it look worse than it actually is. It scrapes the tip of the tip of the toe cage slightly.
Posted almost 13 years ago
The only thing I would change is that gear ratio, regardless, this is a beautiful build! :D
Posted almost 13 years ago
I have girly legs. Don't think I can handle the mashing. Haha. Plus I live near hilly areas. Wouldn't make it halfway up with that ratio.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Awww dang that's unfortunate man. I can push 51/16 and 51/15 easily up hills and I have some skinny, scrawny ass legs
Posted almost 13 years ago
you're from KL?then your one of few malaysian that don't use omnium-dura ace drivetrain :p
Posted almost 13 years ago
I noticed that trend. Thought it was mere coincidence. Haha. Maybe I need to be in KL for the infection to hit me too.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thats real nice. I wouldnt change A thing.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Yet A LOT of changes have taken place up til this point. Always a working process. =D
Posted almost 13 years ago
Hell yea Fer, this is hot. Glad you didn't go Mash. Lets ride dood!
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks Kenny. =D
We so should! I'm guessing yo legs are all healed up. XD
Posted almost 13 years ago
Yup. I'm all healed up. I'll send you an electronic mail and we'll coordinate.

nice bike...
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thanks. I love your "ribena" bike. Haha. I always appreciate bold color choices.
Posted almost 13 years ago
haha i call it ribena because here in malaysia there is this blackcurrant fruit juice's mascot in purple color... google image it out... thanks for the compliment though....
Posted almost 13 years ago
where are u from? where u grab this from?
nice build!
Posted almost 13 years ago
From KL, currently in the US. Grabbed it from ebay. Definitely a lucky find!
Posted almost 13 years ago
Very clean welds for 4130. Impressive.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Something that doesn't appear in the pics is the super sexy sparkle/black paint. Sooo keirin <- Legit adjective.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Very nice! How does it ride? There are not many around.
Posted almost 13 years ago
It feels a little bigger than it should be (56cm top tube =/ ). But apart from that, it rides amazing. The carbon fork also significantly brings the weight down, resulting in a faster ride.
Posted almost 13 years ago
nicee how does it compare to other aluminium frames? mash/lo pro/kagero
Posted almost 13 years ago
It's actually 4130 CroMo. I actually had an aluminium frame in the past and I didn't like how "brittle" the ride felt. I'm definitely a fan of steel now, even though alu frames are much lighter.
Posted almost 13 years ago
I used to have a 4130 cromo frame and tried aluminium+carbon, couldnt bring myself back to 4130 or steel hahaha. Anyway you built this one very nicely man. added to favourites!
