Here is my first fixed gear build. The frame was a bargain find Centurion Elite road competition frame with Tange #2 Champion tubing.

The frame was a Craigslist $10 find and was in poor condition. All brazeons were removed and filed/wet sanded for smooth appearance. The hole in the rear brake bridge was filled with silver braze. Frame was media blasted and powdercoated RAL 6014 NATO Green. Completed frame was coated internally with Boeshield T9. All assembly was done by me except BB facing and thread chasing.

Yeah its pretty necessary. If I was running risers then maybe I would forgo the tt leather wrap. But alas it serves a function and it smells good (nothing like full grain leather, huh?) Plus its not nearly as unsightly as those giant foam wraps that everyone seems to use...
