Probably repainted at some point. Yes, the decal on the down tube is wrong. Also, the fork is drilled in 3 places. Possibly for saving grams?

I keep looking at this bike! So schmick! Please help me with two questions?
- Did you have to grind the tabs off the inside of the double Nuovo Record cranks so they won't rub the chainstay?
- Is 109mm or 111mm spindle length better for the chainline?

the tabs fit with a 111mm phil wood jis bb. didn't have to grind them off. i've actually had a 108mm phil wood bb as well with a different crankset without tabs. not sure if the tabs would fit in that case, but i don't know for sure. the phil wood bbs are adjustable, and both the 108 and 111 worked great. this bike has a 111 on it right now.
