What Time Atac do you have? I have Look Keos, but want to try out Time. Thanks!

how was rocking fyxation pedals and v2's for the street I was looking into doing the same on my soon to be low build
Posted almost 11 years ago
Nice wheelset ! Just discovered your apparel and bought myself a crewneck, great design.
How are the Time clipless for brakeless ? Do they hold up well ? Thought of getting some as the cleats are more discreet than spd
Posted about 11 years ago
Nice man! Thanks for supporting.
Regarding the Time pedals, they've held up really well. I put roughly 1000 miles on them and they're still good. Even took a few spills. lol.
They're super durable and fairly lightweight. And to your point, the cleat is more streamlined than an SPD. You do however get better leverage and less float on the SPD...so there's a tradeoff there. Good luck man

perfect build

How's the 3t Ergosum compared to your previous Nitto track drops? I'm planning on changing my track drops to a compact road dropbar but I'm not sure if it will be better on climbs and sprints.
Posted over 11 years ago
I love the Ergosum man. Much better for the type of riding i'm doing (long distance / high endurance riding). Climbing is great, I just jump in the hoods and beast up hills. Plenty of hand positions and a comfortable drop to be in that position for 50+ miles.
Not sure the type of riding you're into, but its great for that. Good luck man.

dope ride man. huge fan of GODANDFAMOUS. someone else must be too, peeled a sticker right off my fork.. lol
Posted over 11 years ago
So dope ! how do you like the omniums vs the grand mighty ?
Posted over 11 years ago
Thanks! I thought i'd try out an external BB. I like them so far. Stiff and the arm length is slightly longer than the grand mighty's - better for climbing. However, grand mighty with a Phil Wood BB is way smoother imo.

Nice build! Quick question if you don't mind please - How tall are you, what's your inseam and how do you find your position with the 100m Thomson stem? Do you think you should of gotten longer or shorter stem?
Posted over 11 years ago
Also, do you have any inclination on the stem? It doesn't look like it from what I can see.
Posted over 11 years ago
Inseam is 29. It took me a while to figure out a comfortable setup since the top tube is short and the drops are shallow. I like the stem length currently. But obviously everyone's different. I'd say try out different setups and components.

wow looks like a fast bike. you should put on a race saddle.

Thanks man. The tape was done at a shop. They always wrap them way better than I could do. :)

Hey there you got nice build.. just ordered a low pursuit bike 53 cm.. as what mr. Low recommended for my 5'7 height and 31 inseam. Would that be too big for me? Coz ive never tried a low pursuit frame before. Pls fill me in thanks
Posted about 12 years ago
You're inseam is more than me. I'm a 29. The geo is tight on these - the top tube is short too. I wanted to go with the 50 but he talked me into the 52. It fits perfect. Listen to Andrew..he won't steer you wrong man.

Your built is super nice.
Always adored those LOW frames.
Hope you are also happy with your AURORA V2s.
Posted over 12 years ago
Thanks! I'm really liking the V2s especially paired with fyxation mesas. Light and tight.

This has been a fav of mine for quite some time now...those bars looks really good on it!
Posted over 12 years ago
effing nice man!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait for mine.. i've got another month to go.
Posted over 12 years ago
perfect !!! why you don't try to use toeclips? :)
Posted over 12 years ago
Thanks man. I used to ride w/ toe clips. I've sorta moved on. Was tired of them messing up my shoes - getting holes. I prefer straps.
Posted over 12 years ago
Chey, do you still have your LOW//?
I ordered one several months back and now I am questioning the size? I am guessing we are about the same average height/inseam- 5'9, 30in. Currently I am riding a Bianchi Pista, 53. I feel like I could go a size larger on my next bike so I have ordered the 54 LOW?? Pursuit. I'm not sure how that compares. Got any insight on this? Thanks in advance
Posted over 12 years ago
Sup man. We're the same height and inseam. I ride a 51cm bianchi pista and Andrew Low recommended the 52cm Pursuit. I actually wanted to go a size smaller...but he talked me out of it. He was right, the 52cm fits really nice. Its perfect. The 54cm would be too big for you.
Posted over 12 years ago
That's a colour way i haven't seen around! Nice!
By the way what's your height? and inseam (if possbile)?
Posted almost 13 years ago
That's my chainring! Woot! Hope you're all healed up dude. Bike looks amazing.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Oh Shit! Whats up Fer!
Thats def your chainring. haha. I love the gearing now. Beefy. Im all healed up - it took all summer but i'm up and riding again. We should do a ride soon or something.

I dig it alot. Its spins just as smooth as phils. The weight is comparable too. Not to mention there's NO possibility of slippage.
Posted about 13 years ago
i think this is a suitable replacement for my MASH.
Posted about 13 years ago
hehe. it very well could be. btw, diggin the tooie sticky on the trispoke. :)
Posted about 13 years ago
love the LOW, just wish they'd paint and brand those forks to match their frames better
Posted about 13 years ago
Yea, I completely agree. Since these are handmade, you could request to have the fork painted. Its carbon-alu so not sure how the powdercoat process works with it...but in theory you could. Might cost extra tho. But i dig the rake; the fork works really well with this frame.

clean, better than some of the other LOWs I've seen with a million decals. Still don't like the welding though.
Posted about 13 years ago
Thanks man. The welding is what it is. I feel like it goes with the spirit of the bike. No compromise, bold and aggressive. They are clean welds tho
Posted about 13 years ago
hey man, this is a very nice build. :]
im actually thinking of getting one of these myself, but it looks like theres some really bad toe over lap on it. is there? and if there is, have you noticed it while youre riding?
Posted about 13 years ago
There is more toe overlap than both my super pista and njs level. Its pretty major but you get used to it. You really just notice it on sharp turns and learn to time your pedals. If you don't like too much overlap...I know Andrew Low is testing out some standard track geometries...so maybe hit him up.
Posted about 13 years ago
We have to band together, nice. Diggin' that color.
Posted about 13 years ago
For sure man. Nice to know there's more of us rollin around. hehe. Diggin that S80 and the general setup of yours. I'm in the process of making some tweaks to mine (wheelset, stem, etc). Maybe i'll see you around nyc.
Posted about 13 years ago
Awesome! I've always liked those frames since I first saw them. How's it compare to the Super Pista?
Posted over 13 years ago
It definitely rides different than the pista. Its lighter and stiffer all around. The sloping top tube makes it ride way more aggressive and responsive. It also accelerates faster. The bottom bracket is higher too. I love it. Its basically more 'super' than the super pista. :)
Cycleangelo is gonna take some shots of this thing later in the week. Should have better photos up soon!
You all healed up?
