the ebay seller has told me this is one of four pursuit frames built by gitane for a velodrome near nantes in france. it has "4" painted underneath the bottom bracket. it is only speculation but it is a nice frame either way. I think it looks better with the corima, the gipiemme wheel has since been sold.

This does look like a Gitane pursuit and is a beautiful frame. Just looking at that straight fork makes me horny...
