According to Brent Trimble this is one of two frames built ~1996 for the US cycling team. The GT superbike had 3 iterations. The sb1 which was aluminum and used custom narrow components. The sb2 was the carbon iterations without a top tube and also used narrow components. And the sb3 was again aluminum with regular components. The frame in the OP was built before the the sb3 but after the sb2 by Trimble to comform to a more 'normal' UCI legal frame. It copied the sb1's design but in carbon.
