2001 Kona Jake the Snake. Commuter trying to moonlight as a light touring bike. Rebuilt this as cheap as I could with parts lying around and Craigslist. Upgraded to a Soma Porteur Deluxe after a few s24o trips.

Totally. I actually had to reconfigure the rack and lower it closer to my front wheel. It seems to be better. I also made it so the two handlebar clamps are almost vertical.

I only made that comment because I have the same one on my bridgestone. hah they're kind of a pain sometimes but they do what they're supposed to, for the most part. would be cool if wald made some type of adapter so it could be attached to the brake hole for extra stability.
your bike is awesome though! best jake the snake I've seen so far....functional!
