people on pedal room don't look down on you because youre being safe.
especially if your girlfriend isn't very experienced with fixed gear, a brake is practical.
riding without a brake is a choice not a entry requirement into a cult or something. lol
glad to see you're/she's being safe.

I see where your coming from and thanks for that. After racing in Time Trials for years and then getting into track I dont see cycling as its purist form with brakes and freewheels, but thats just me, and to each their own. Thats what makes the world go round ;)
