Not so jealous anymore 'cause I kind of copied you ;) But I would like to know if you are happy with your Leader fork, I am also looking to upgrade because the alpina feels pretty heavy

I weep for your poor bike that will never be used anywhere near its potential, but hey at least you'll look cool right? Lol
Posted over 11 years ago
yeah. let em know that we aint got time for a velo haha

You live 45 minutes from a velodrome and youre in highschool..
Posted over 11 years ago
How do you not have time? Are your parents not able to drive you?
Posted over 11 years ago
nice LOW ! mavic IO rocks the build, and btw do u ride it on the street ?
Posted over 11 years ago
Great build man.im 6"0 and I'm not sure what size to get cause I've never bought a pursuit frame before
Posted over 11 years ago
that cant really be a MAVIC IO. if it is i need to hear the story of how you stole it. LOL
def out of place on this bike. I mean it is a nice bike and all, but C'mon man! you could build two more of those with what an IO costs.

Damn well looks like it. That hub/axle looks exactly how an iO is suppose to be. I wish I had one /:

"Velodrome? Ain't nobody got time for that:D" - I lol'ed. No Alpina fork? :(
Posted almost 12 years ago
If you have $4,000 to spend on that mavic, then you should probably be spending upwards to 4,000 to 6,000 carbon frame.
Posted almost 12 years ago
who cares, if he wants to ball it up with a 4000 wheel then let him, to each his own.
Posted almost 12 years ago
A Low// is as great as aluminum could get IMHO.
No need for a carbon frame as he says, "Velodrome? Ain't nobody got time for that:D"
Posted over 11 years ago
You're riding a Mavic iO on the streets of Los Angeles. That's just sad, and honestly, disappointing. How someone could willingly ruin a wheel worth nearly $4,000 by riding it on the street is beyond comprehension.
Wow.
Posted almost 12 years ago
thats true man I belive that mavic is design to ride in track not in streets but I love your built dope ride
Posted almost 12 years ago
The track and time trial versions are different in more ways than just the axle. Also the tt ones aren't really being ridden on the streets, they're ridden on closed circuits with smooth roads. Just sell the wheel and buy a shitload of other track stuff.
Posted almost 12 years ago
I don't think there's two versions of io's. From what I've gather the time trialist replace the axle with a quick release and don't really use the front brake because as you know the io doesn't have braking surface but if you can give me a link where you got that information would gladly appreciate it:D oh and not going to sale it sorry

You still haven't addressed the issue of riding on the streets of L.A. where you're vulnerable to any number of uncontrollable variables.
Posted almost 12 years ago
And yeah if you knew anything at all you would know what @SillyGooseCookie is saying is right. He couldn't have said it any better. +1 to you @SillyGooseCookie (:
Posted almost 12 years ago
Don't get me wrong I do agree with what sillygoosecookie is saying about close circuits and smooth roads but as far as two complete different version of iO's I don't think so but if you can inlighten me and give me a link instead of just agreeing with somebody that would be nice:D

@Sublime oh believe me I know first hand how nasty LA can get. well just last night I was inches from getting hit by a car making a turn and yes I was riding in the rain had to get home right. But as far as your question it's not a risk if you know what your doing I'm not going to use it all the time lol only in special occasion street event or when I go to the velodrome
Posted almost 12 years ago
Is this really STILL not getting through to you? I said UNCONTROLLABLE variables you fucking dimwit. Do you know what the word uncontrollable means? It means out of your control, so it doesn't matter if you know what you're doing, the consequences of riding it on the street are out of your control.
Posted almost 12 years ago
But yet so is the velodrome Einstein you can't control what people are doing in front or side of you. In the end I'm the one with a iO my action are my own if I want to ride this on the street let me be.who do you think you are to tell me what should I be riding? Your a joke only because you can't afford it you had to sell t3 and still don't have enough to get a iO lmao good day sir:D
Posted almost 12 years ago
1) There are infinitely more variables that are out of your control when you are riding on the street. On the Velodrome you're with people who know what they're doing, there aren't any cars, there aren't potholes, there aren't pedestrians.
2) Wow, you truly are an idiot. The whole reason for selling my T3 was because I can't make it to the velodrome enough to justify owning it. Don't think that because you rashly spend large sums of money on unnecessary parts like a $4,000 front wheel that you somehow are wealthier than me, you're not.
Posted over 11 years ago
It doesn't??? Ok buddy (not really your buddy) have a nice day:D
Posted over 11 years ago
I knew you would pop out MS.Velodrome Einstein :D or I should call u MS.Sour grapes haha
Posted over 11 years ago
In the end we just want an io to stop jerking over it and over those who happily own one
Posted over 11 years ago
Or you're like me, someone who has enough respect for cycling as an artform and realize that an iO would be better suited to another owner, not because you can't afford one, but for reasons like the ones I stated above, or the fact that I know I can't physically make it to a velodrome enough to justify owning such a wheel.
Posted over 11 years ago
@sublime
OR you can just shut the fuck up and let him ride his god damn wheel.
If everyone had your expectations, they'd be riding steel frames, shitty wheels, origin 8 cranks and the such on the streets.
That wheel is sick as fuck and I doubt that he rides it daily.
Posted over 11 years ago
Read what you just wrote and see if it makes any sense to you, because it sure as shit doesn't to me.
Posted over 11 years ago
i actually ahte to admit but what drop it low said does make sense. people all the time on here bitching about what people ride on the street. Everyone shouldnt ride a shitty steel frame with deep vs just because something might happen. I can understand ur side also sublime it is sad to see someone ride a 4k wheel in the streets and it may get destroyed but on the other hand if all wheels were free or the same price id ride one to on the streets its a beautiful wheel and the one i rode for all of five mins rode so nice. I on the other hand would sell it and get two sets of enve;s and ride them on the street lol. im all for having a sweet looking bike, for anyone who says looks dont matter its all function is crazy. thats like telling a car guy not to buy some blinged out car that eats gas and doesnt go that fast becuase he needs form over function. if eveyrone rode bikes to what they were best suited for we would all be riding around on kilo tts with deep vs and gel seats with riser bars. I mean hell im sorta of guilty i ride a s80 on the road everyday and have carbon fiber bullhorns. one wreck and tehre done. but its what i like and what i wanted. theres no velodrome within 4 hours of wehre i live so i damn sure wouldnt let stuff thats just for the track determine wether i purchased it or not. im glad skateboarders arent like this lol. we take our expensive ass shit out just to break daily.

Yet another reason to hate little fanboyz like Grinne and DropitLow. @Grinne, was referring to sublime as a female the BEST thing you could come up with? Im positive there are hundreds of women that could destroy you cycling. @DropitLow, YOU SIR, are the biggest idiot in this conversation. Theres such a combination of 'nice' and 'practical' in this sport. Also it must take large testicles to talk smack on some one when you're too embarrased to post your own build. Also 'clashofgods' fix your saddle angle. If you're going to talk about how rich you are like it's some sort of status in this world, at least know how to use your equipment properly.

DAYMMMM THIS IS REALLY NICE BUILT AND I LOVE THAT MAVIC FRONT WHEEL!

Posted almost 12 years ago
Nice ride ... !
Where did you get the sticker before the word Low...on the left?
Posted almost 12 years ago
Ever ride it brakeless?
Posted almost 12 years ago
Nope over the years I learn its a lot safer to ride with a brake you can still ride hard with a brake:D it's there just for emergencys shit gets crazy here in LA cars don't understand you suppose to ride in the streets
Posted almost 12 years ago
+1 to Clashofgods. @CjDavid what would be the difference if he did? He can still ride his bike the same way you can. You can still skid to stop with having a brake, just because its there doesnt mean you have to use it. I personally think everyone should ride with a brake, for the safety of yourself and others. Thats why people ride with brakes in Japan, because some guy ran over an elderly woman and killed her. I think its absolutley ridiculous that there are people who ride brakeless and question people why they use a brake and/or call them pussys for doing so.
Posted almost 12 years ago
Nice; but would be nicer if it didn't have those apple stickers on it.
Posted almost 12 years ago
this is awesome! love the decals, much nicer than solid back stickers
Posted almost 12 years ago
Man you must be stoked this is sick ! just sent the deposit for mine haha How long did you wait to get your frame ?
Posted almost 12 years ago
Yeah had the frame for a while now but I never really build it up because I had such a fun run with the concept but now that is gone:( started building this one honestly I don't recall when I ordered it I get back to you with that one
