rides like a dream but takes some abuse. I'm going to ride it into the ground. It will be with me until the end.

just recently became a fan of good Bianchi Pista Concept builds. Is it rare in the US? because thinking of cop one if I'm in there. Sorry for the silly question, your Pista Concept is really nice!

You would have to source one used. You can't just walk into a store to find one anymore. It might be difficult to find a frame quickly on a short trip.

How does your ratio feel on flats and climbs?
Posted over 12 years ago
its enough on flat to get going and its bearable on climbs. the ratio itself is about 81 gear inches or something like that? ive considered dropping it down to a 16 on the rear but i keep reminding myself it is street ridden and find it unnecessary to do so haha.
Posted over 12 years ago
Yeah. Unless it's virtually flat where you live, it probably is unnecessary. Your current ratio sounds perfect though.

great setup and photography!
just curious, how do you get the bike to stand like that with nothing supporting it??
Posted over 12 years ago
Thank you! It was held up by a large rock and my friend photoshopped it out. If you look closely you can see that one of the pedals is positioned flat because it was on the rock.

Hey man, first of all awesome build. Im debating on a 55 or 57 concept. How tall are you/ what is your inseam?
Posted over 12 years ago
Thanks! I'm 5'9" my inseam is about 30-32? Short with short legs. I've ridden my friends 57 it's not too much bigger at all just a little bit longer reach and slightly bigger stand over.

Nicely built bike sir. Looks really classical with those panaracer gum wall tires.

That Bianchi is BOSS. Amazing work Luke! I used to live in Rancho, Hellmen st lol. About 3/4 houses down from the train tracks. Again rad bike bro!
Posted almost 13 years ago
Thank you! That's funny I'm right around there how did you recognize the scenery?
Posted almost 13 years ago
Haha! I saw your Bianchi Pista shots and told myself "Yup...thats Red Hill". I went to Altaloma High which is across the street. Class of 04. All your bikes are awesome. Killer Bianchi's!

one of the nicest concepts i've ever seen. I can tell you put a lot of devotion into this build. looks amazing!

Best Concept on the site.

Thats a bold and very flattering opinion, thank you very much!
Posted almost 13 years ago
Very nice! I love the new wheels and tires!
Posted almost 13 years ago
thank you! they are a lot more responsive and a lot quicker than the old tires, i love them.
Posted almost 13 years ago
Really? I found Panaracer Pasela really sluggish and Rando a better rolling tires. and they both are touring/Rando tires. Looks great on the Concept I like it!
Posted almost 13 years ago
I love the randos too they are great tires and nice for streets. I wanted a different feel and I like it but granted its not for everyone hah. What width did you have benson?
Posted almost 13 years ago
this is such a great build i love it!
even the rim choice is great :)
excellent work
Posted about 13 years ago

Posted about 13 years ago

Posted about 13 years ago
thank you! its my first concor, its different but i really like it.
Posted about 13 years ago
hey so lately i been really wanting to buy a new black concor for my bike.. just got a question when you ride does the saddle leave any black marks on your shorts or jeans?? because when i owned a RED Concor saddle it would always leave a red marks on my butt area.. Thanks!
Posted about 13 years ago
haha no i havent had much. there might have been some smalls peices at first but not like a stain or anything.
Posted about 13 years ago
sorry i removed your comment on accident, but yes it does fade and wear noticeably, but it doesnt bother me.
Posted almost 13 years ago
damn the new photos and setup are sick
Posted about 13 years ago
thank you, i spent some time building her up this time instead of being impatient and throwing on older parts
Posted about 13 years ago
Love those new pics and saddle ;)
Posted about 13 years ago
thank you! component wise the bike rides and feels 100 times better
Posted about 13 years ago
definition of clean!
Posted about 13 years ago
hah thank you, it actually has a completely different parts group on it now.. i need to take new photos
Posted about 13 years ago
oo sweet can't wait, ya thinking of replacing a new wheel for mine to try a different look too, looking forward to seeing the updates!
Posted about 13 years ago
Really nice setup and great pictures too.
I was wondering what's the length of your Thomson stem?
Thanks
Posted over 13 years ago
thank you! the one in the photos in a 70mm 0 degree. not my first choice but it works perfect with the drop and reach of the bars.
Posted over 13 years ago
I really like how it looks with those bars. And if it works perfect with those bars, I'm curious what your first choice would be?
Posted about 13 years ago
yeah it works perfect with the bars i wish i it had a different degree. i have a new bar set up now that works perfectly, its a 90mm -15 thomson with the nitto b123aa, perfect reach and drop, ill post photos soon. reason i changed the stem is because the nittos and somas have a good size difference in backsweep and the drops were too close.
Posted about 13 years ago
Really like ur build even the brooks saddle ;)
Posted over 13 years ago
haha thank you! its going back onto the road bike soon so im replacing it with a new saddle. ill post up photos when its all finished
Posted over 13 years ago
pretty solid bro
i like it
Posted over 13 years ago
thank you very much!
the bike is undergoing a lot of changes right now, ill post some pics when it is all finished
Posted over 13 years ago
i agree Benson, im not too worried about weight and what not. im still switching components around and the brooks is going back on the road bike. the arione i have has seen better days and im going to invest in a concor saddle for the concept.
Posted over 13 years ago
got to love cadence bar tape..but i hate it when i ride in the rain it gets wet and the next day it kind of smelly
Posted over 13 years ago
yeah its decent tape for the price! i havent experienced the wet smell of it yet and i dont plan on riding this one in the rain.
Posted over 13 years ago
brooks. gtfo
Posted over 13 years ago
haha you have obviously never ridden one. want me to put my arione back on it to make the people of the internet happy?
Posted over 13 years ago
Its a great saddle, it doesnt belong on a track bike but its so comfy!
