Where do u get ur front wheels... The tri spokes and zipps?
Anywhere to get em cheap?
Posted about 10 years ago
Is this ur durace crank you were talking about?
I like it. I'd get a black one if possible or if not then a black zen chainring
Posted about 10 years ago
Yup the picture with the zen + dura ace crank is the dura ace fc7600 and zen combo. & As for the zipp, I bought off ebay for quite a steal in great condition when they were abundant. Now I dont even see any zipp 440's. But I mostly buy my wheels off craigslist or off friends.

Dang, that saddle matches perfect on this bike. the red kinda looks italian-ish which for some reason makes the saddle look oober fast, and clean !
Posted over 10 years ago
haha. Was intended for my stratos before, loved the ride on it so I decided to keep it for the makino. It was the upgrade the makino really needed for sure.

Probably the first person to make a spynergy look nice. Congrats on that. Reflective pattern of the carbon contrast perfectly with the gold flakes

Thanks man! much appreciated, the paint was what really sold me on this particular frame.

Now that is sweet.. that wheel sets it off perfectly. Wish i could run one on mine.

Diggin' this bike man. That paint and ZIPP wheel are truly great.

Thank you! I've got a few more things I want to change on this bike, but I'm getting there haha.

Beautiful Makino! Are you looking to sell that Zipp front wheel man?
Posted over 11 years ago
Thank you! I had it up for sale, Too many people flaked out. I'm bittersweet on letting it go now, so most likely it's gonna stay with me since it's in such great condition.

very nice ! clean. What is the rear rim on the first picture ?
Posted over 11 years ago
Thank you! Trying to find a nice rear that can correspond to the Zipp. And to answer your question, it was my old Mavic GL330 that I used as temporary.

Nice Bike Mang! Are You Trying To Get Rid Of That 53T Aero Chainring To Fund For A 49T? Cause I Might Need A 53T Chainring For My Build!
Posted over 11 years ago
Nope, I have some plans for my 53 since I still do have my old 18t cog. So it'll be swapped between the 49/50 (whichever I decided to get) and the 53:18.

how much did the frame cost ya
Posted over 11 years ago
Yeah, saved me some money to get the parts I wanted, now i'm just swapping out parts that I feel need to be swapped.
Posted over 11 years ago
i think it looks beautiful and was a good investment in my opinion.
great build

How's skidding on gatorskins?
Posted over 11 years ago
I've honestly never really skidded much on these tires haha. But when I do, it's a little slippery but it helps me stop...
Posted over 11 years ago
Is that zipp 650 or it just dont got a tire?
Posted over 11 years ago
No tire on as of now, but it's being glued atm at The bike shop. so, i'll update the photos as soon as I get it back.
Posted over 11 years ago
Aha! thanks! might consider keeping the zipp on permanently, but our roads in hawaii suck ass.
Posted over 11 years ago
Can't wait to see it all built :)
Posted over 11 years ago
Soon haha, Just waiting on the Zipp and my Axle conversion kit to come in the mail. Will update when it's finished!
