This is my beater, it is invincible. I've had numerous nice bikes come and go, but this one, straight from bikes direct, has survived 2 years of messengering in Chicago, 3 years of restaurant delivery, half a dozen bad crashes and basically being mistreated from day 1. i still own it and i pull it out every winter to protect my other bikes from the road salt. After it's first year of use it developed 3 nickel-size holes in the drive-side chainstay eaten away from salt, so i filled the holes with expanding pipe sealer foam and repainted the bike in my backyard with rattle cans and i haven't had any trouble with it in the three years since. This beater will live forever.
