Very beautiful bike, i just have one question. What is the big hype on paying 80 bucks for an izumi super toughness when their basic chains are very tough but only 30 bucks. What the hell is the difference besides spending a lot more money.

NJS homie! thats really it. yeah they are tough ass shit and to be honest,i havent really a chain this strong before. what are some cheaper ones? just wondering,i want to pick up a chain for my brothers bday
Posted about 12 years ago
The Izumi V is the toughest chain in the market of track. Tougher the chain, the less give it gives when torquing your cranks. Less give = more pull = better power transfer = faster.

52? wow, so the geometry is going to be tight.
is toe overlap a serious problem for you if you ride your low track in the the city?
Posted about 12 years ago
yeah. but you get used to the toe overlap. plus theres not much when you ride clipless

awesome build, and btw whats the name for that bottle cage saddle mount?

what's freewheel charging for the frame and fork?
Posted over 12 years ago
It was 900$,thats how much mine was. now LOWs prices went up,so they bumped it up to 1300$

soooo nice. probably the cleanest LOW// on here. if you switch out the seatpost, this thing will be amazing! really want to paint my bike this color! do you know where i can get an alpina fork like yours and for how much? thanks
Posted over 12 years ago
Thanks! I am planning to change the seatpost real soon, you can get an alpina fork at "The Freewheel" in San francisco. I am not sure about the price, but for sure i know they have these forks there

Solid build. Did you order it straight from Andrew or pick it up at Freewheel?
Posted over 12 years ago
Thanks man! i picked this up at freewheel because i need to a bike to ride after benting the downtube on the BS. lol. So my cousins pitched in and we got this! but it would fucking awesome if i can get a fully custom one from andrew. btw, super clean soma rush dude

dope bike!!!..i want to go clipless with my pedals, but how are they when you skid?
Posted over 12 years ago
thanks, ummm for me,the shimanos still clip out from time to time. sometimes when i pull a skid to hard,it pops out. but i heard time atacs are amazing for fixed gear riding on the street. i hope i can get some A$AP! Also, going clipless gives you sooo much control over toe clips and straps. i highly recommend it!
Posted over 12 years ago
If you keep accidentally cliping out, I would suggest either tightening the spring mechanism on your pedals or, if you've already done that, try going for SPD-SL or Look-style road pedals. These will increase not only your ability to skid, but your power output as well.
Posted over 12 years ago
really? its already super tight. but it clipping out is very rare. but im actually leaning on to the time atac side if i switch. alot of ppl recommend me to them, but if it doesnt work out. gonna give the looks a try :D

dope bike, really digging the blue. do you still have the matching front wheel?
Posted over 12 years ago
Nice LOW... just wondering; is there any reason you ride with that amount of chain slack?
Posted over 12 years ago
it was just that day when we went to go shoot it. the chain is much tighter now ;)
Posted over 12 years ago
wowwww this is cool! track standard! and look at those pedals, gonna overlapping, but youre using cleats
Posted over 12 years ago
Way loose bro ;)
Posted over 12 years ago
yeah,i fixed it,much better now! it was just that day when we were shooting it
Posted over 12 years ago

Posted over 12 years ago
thanks! and nah,it was just that day we brought it out to shoot and i was in a hurry so i didnt really get to tension my chain
Posted over 12 years ago
Real nice. I really like the blue chris king headset, gives it a nice touch.
Posted over 12 years ago
