More Info:
Purchased the frame and fork from the wonderful people of Track Supermarket in Japan who had the frame fully restored, painted/decaled in Khanji.
The headbadge is original with the original paint.
All components have been purchased from Japan as it is really hard to find anything in Australia (where I live).
It has take about 3 months to finally get all the parts that I wanted for this build, but I absolutely love it.
I chose the Araya RC-540's over the Golds as they are clinchers and bugger me if im going to ride the streets everyday with Tubulars. While the bottom Bracket is a non-njs sealed bearing as I was a tad worried about water getting into the frame over time.
I went with 36 hole for the wheels as im no lightweight and don't want to put stress on the rims.
Im running a flip-flop hub with a 17t and 15t on each side with a 46t chainring.
I decided on the Nitto Noodle for the bars at 44cm as I have broad shoulders and ride this bike daily, running track bars would look pretty, but are so uncomfortable for the KM's I put on this bike.
For the drivetrain I opted for a classic look, although I own the Sugino75's and they are smooth and stiff, I just love the look of the vintage Super Mightys, especially mirror polished and with the Mighty Comp MC144 chainring...it gives it a classic look that a steel frame represents.
This bike is an absolute work of art, hand crafted by the master bike builder Tanabe San in Tokyo and as much as I love seeing it on the wall of my home, this is absolutely ridden every day on the streets of Sydney and then cleaned almost every night.
Fun fact, the Kalavinka Bottom Bracket shell engraving is backwards (threads are correct) cannot find out why and cannot find any other Kalavinka ever put together that way, possibly was built for as a prototype frame or Bike Show, Tanabe did say it was a "special frame" when I reached out to him but didn't elaborate further and didn't have any prominence on the frame, anyone that may know, drop a message.

Thank you! I wanted it to be a bright and colourful bike, but went for a classic gold and black option, easy to also maintain

Thanks!! 100% on being ridden. Its pratically cleaned after every ride and admittedly I only ride on dry road/sealed paths (no offroad or rain) as I love seeing it hang on the wall at home at night, but love riding it 20-40km every dry day!

Thank you! I love the gold khanji, it worked well with the rest of the build with the toe clip leather protectors and kashimax straps, the gold writing on the kashimax saddle and skin wall tyres to bring it all together. I love riding this bike!
