I've build this bike as a "fast" but practical all year round commuter and Sun best bike in one. Very few people would choose carbon rims for commuting but with the right number and type of spokes and nipples and wide enough tyres to offer some additional cushioning against potholes the setup has proven to be bombproof over a span of over 14 months of daily 40 mile commuting on some bad backroads.
