haha I don't mean to criticize the brake but it would look cleaner without it (for picture purposes only of course!) Beautiful build though, class.

as already stated... never felt comfy with toe clips. and after all it's about feeling good and safe with the bike you ride. and for me this includes the riser, those pedals and even a front brake.

one thing that we're giving the germans are quality frames. nice build man! in my opinion - get some bullhorns, maybe some nice track pedals with crome clips. oh and loose the brake (:

cheers.

gert

gert says:

hey.. thanks for the comment. those frames are definitely some of the best i've ever seen. thought about a bullhorn but i'm super fine with the riser. never been much into toe clips though. they are everything but comfy to me. but i get your point.. those would fit much better with that bike.

what tubeset is that? deddaciai? ever heard of rychtarski? it's the guy who tought orlowski his craftsmanship. i'm riding one of his frames right now. they are definitely worthwhile to check out!

oh and get the name right. it's "Orłowski" with "ł".

Posted over 11 years ago

gert

gert says:

oh yeah. the name. .well when jacek himself choses to name his blogspot and every email address orlowskiframes with an actual "l" instead of the polish "ł" why would we do different? harder to type, harder to find and i bet not many of us do really know how to pronounce that correctly ;)

Posted over 11 years ago

mtretyn

mtretyn says:

for one thing you can't name any internet domain using diacritical marks, so no ą, ć, ę, ł, ś, ź or ż...but besides that..look at your frame man - is says ORŁOWSKI

Posted over 11 years ago

gert

gert says:

are u seriously starting an argument about that name? i know what is written there. i actually even know how it's pronounced. at least my polish mates say it's pretty good for one who doesn't speak any polish besides that. anyways... don't be too mad at me when i stick with how things are ;)

Posted over 11 years ago

mtretyn

mtretyn says:

i'm not starting arguments here and i'm not getting mad (: u can call your bike whatever you like. just don't say "because the website adress is like this, it's supposed to be this way". bottom line, you misspelled the name and your polish language skills have nothing to do with it d:

cheers.

gert

gert says:

Not saying it has to be like that cause of whatever. Just saying it seems to be somewhat okay to replace that letter at least when using media that isn't that language specific. And actually when everyone agrees on one way of writing it's much easier to create and a find a context of similar products. I guess pretty much anyone owning such frame is aware of that In polish the name is written and so pronounced different though. And now? What are we doing? Trying to convince everybody owning such a frame to correct the spelling of the name? Don't get me wrong. I'd be totally in if all the others are. Cause as i said before. With changing that only partitially we'd break a context and that would suck after all for the users of pedalroom. Since they'd get not as much results on a search as they could. Since writing 'orlowski' is the more established way when talking about that brand.

mtretyn says:

you can fire back all you want but i'm right [:
i told you before you can call it whatever you want, but the name of the frame is orłowski, period. and I don't think that everyone "agreed" on writing it a certain way. people just don't care. and for that reason I wouldn't have the name of my bike misspelled because otherwise it might give somebody a hard time finding it on pedalroom.. that's all from me! no hard feelings (: take care!

tja das mit den pedalen..haette auch lieber klassische mit clips an dem aufbau, nur irgendwie fuehlen sich straps einfach komfortabler an. aber vielleicht probier ichs nochmal.
