Nice build! I know brakes are the law here, but you should look into Tempra cycles/garage they make a sick mount for brakes on Keirin frames. Similar to TT frames, both front and rear. They are located in Tokyo.

Very nice! Can't wait to see this with a complete wheelset. Looks like a reliable daily for an NJS frame, especially in Japan.

Thanks. Should have the matching front next week, along with a set of track drops for photos, velodrome days and generally messing about.
After that I'll be building an NJS wheelset but the cost means it'll take a while!

Love the rear wheel build, can't wait for a matching front, then you can't strech the bike out to 55/56cm and give it to me, cause I heard you're just that kinda nice guy!:)

And no way I'm drilling that fork! The keirin brakes are fine.

haha yeah, I wouldn't drill tha fork either, that's why I love the brake.
I 've seen the rear one on a mash histogram, cause I would drill that bridge either...
