My first single-speed conversion. This project had a deep sense of nostalgia since it is from the timeframe when I started taking bikes apart, losing bearings and ruining Mom's towels. My first car was a Peugeot but the bikes were way out of my price range. I struggled with balancing authenticity with functionality. The latter will end up winning as I am about to replace even those beautiful shiny calipers with some dual-pivot modern numbers. I am not done but I feel compelled to post what I have so far in order to avoid being a freeloader.
