I don't get why people think CHUB Hubs are heavy...
Chub rear: 296 grams
Chub front: 96 grams
Phil rear: 389 grams
Phil front: 225 grams
Formula rear: 324 grams
Formula front: 271 grams
Shitty hubs...
Great hubs...
CHUBS are still lighter. (By kind of a lot)
And in my opinion they are great hubs.
I had one for a while till it was stolen.
One of the best bike parts I've ever owned.

I agree completely. I have no regrets about buying them.

Some of the most functional things ever made look funny. But they work. They look functional to me. lol

unless this is used on the track only, I think you will probably find that those carbon bars prove to be very weak in a high impact crash. not a fan of the chub hub but the rims look really nice. I think this bike deserves a good quality, proper photo.

My Raleigh is about 20 pounds! Ive always wondered how the new ones ride compare to mine.

Is it that heavy? I'd have guessed 18 tops. Nice spec on your bike. The 08 frame definitely looks beefy and stiff. I'm a sucker for a Raleigh :-) You've got a sweet ride my friend.

Yeah its heavy because of the massive down tube and gussets on the rear triangle it makes the stiffest frame Ive ever ridden! Weight doesn't really matter to me anyway. If it matters my wheels are heavy as well with 36h Phils

I've heard that about Phil hubs. This is the only bike i have right now that I really tried to make light. Most of my other bikes are 20+. I'll be posting them shortly.

Phils may be a little heavier but they have never let me down! Deff solid hubs and I have not serviced them since I gotten them

That's exactly what I've heard. A little hefty but outstanding quality. Cool guys there too, they're fairly local to me.
